Are the ones that go on your roof the same as the ones that go over your bed but on a rack?

But what I meant a was ya like the tent has the shell, but say you have bags in the back, like the bed of the truck, you can’t have a tonneau to cover it so wouldn’t it all get wet?

(I know a couple tonneau covers work,
But I have a backflip and don’t wanna buy another)

There are some rack solutions that work with the Bakflip covers, but not very many. I know KB Voodoo racks work with some of them, but their quality control and customer service is suspect as hell (to put it mildly).

My Mobtown Offroad Low Rise Bars work with the following covers (per MO's website):
    • Extang 2.0 Solid Trifold Cover
    • OEM Toyota Cover for 2016+ Model
    • Truxedo TruXport Cover
    • Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Cover
It probably works with quite a few others that are less than 63 inches wide, as well, but the design isn't compatible with any covers that modified/removed/lowered the stock bed rails, though.

I have a roof top tent over my bed held up by kb voodoo hi rise bars for tonneau covers. I have a diamondback cover that keeps everything locked, dry, and somewhat clean. Unfortunately dust and dirt is inevitable.

I put all of that shit either in the back seat or in big totes in the bed. The kind with latching lids. Seems to work well for rain, but like the other guy said dust is almost impossible to keep out. If you were super worried about it you could use some bulb gasket from your local home improvement store along the edge of the lid

Go to Home Depot and buy yourself one of those big rolling tool boxes. They latch up, you can lock them to your tie down points, and it keeps the rest of your gear clean and dry.

Thanks for that. I’ve been looking for a good rack that would work with my OEM cover. Going to look into it.

Right on, good luck! I use their "Low Rise Bars," specifically.
