Close call tonight, by the time i realized it was time to make a run for the truck and get it in the garage, golf ball size chunks were cascading from the heavens. Seems like a good time for a thread on hail damage, and what came of it for you.

20190624_202840.jpg got a 20 minute surprise hailstorm in Lubbock today, I wish I'd had all those air mattresses. Looks like I'll take the truck in for it's first 5000 mile service after I get it back from having the dents repaired

Had about 4500 in hail damage to mine last year. Got it all fixed with paintless dent removal..

I hate hail with a passion.. and there has been a lot of it in TX the past couple months.

Counted the dings on mine and there were 130+

Yeah it was not good.. it was only almost golf ball sized, but it hailed so much that it started to accumulate all on the ground. Looked like it snowed almost

I read that if you carry a king size bed sheets, if you start experiencing hail, just throw it on the hood or roof of your vehicle and it’ll protect it from damage. The sheets are thin, but because they’ll get wet and absorb rain, which adds to the thickness, it’ll add much more protection than you’d think. Not sure if it’s true, hope I never have to test it

I live in OK which gets hail as bad as TX (maybe worse). I've had this on my wish list for a while:

You may want to move it from your wish list to a “must list”.

Last year here in Southern Colorado we had 2 hail storms 2 month apart.

The hail was baseball size, I just bough the truck 1 month before.

It was $17,500 worth of repairs and PDR that the insurance forked out to fix it, State Farm.

For that much I figured they would totaled it.
