    $50. Just casually popped up on my marketplace. If the buyer won't ship I could always help out if needed

    IDK, depending on context, some of our responders would find it hilarious.

    SLC SAR, DPS Dispatch. Call out for 3 hikers stranded on Mt. Olympus (again...). Caller reports no water, cell phone batteries low, hiking in flip flops above snow line. (again...)

    I only took a few pics of our (Walker County Amateur Radio Group) Field Day in Huntsville, TX. It was fun! We handed out free Hotdogs and water to visitors, as we were set up at a gazebo in a prominent park around here. Have 6 new members, and many interested. It was a good day! On another note, who else here is getting in on the new Wires-X radio firmware to run it mobile? My club has had 2 Yaesu repeaters for years, but are finally getting into Wires-X. With my constant nudging, and insistence, that is...Dragging them into the digital age...

    Ok I'm starting to shop for a mobile radio and could use some advice. Right now I'm looking at the Kenwood TM-D710GA or the Yeasu FTM-400DR, but leaning toward the Kenwood. I'll be mounting the antenna to the front bumper since my roof will more or less be covered with half a Prinsu rack and a Drifter. Can anyone suggest a good antenna that would work well in that location, and is there a way that I can mount it so that I can take it off when not in use and still keep the connection clean and dry? Also, is there anything else that I need to order besides the radio/antenna and maybe a speaker?

    Who is it on here that has the motorized mounts on here? Kinda getting tired of having to get out of my truck and fold down my antenna every night when I get home from work before I pull in the garage.

    @m603holden ?

    So to make my Prinsu fit I'm going to basically be cutting it in half since there won't be enough room for it under the camper overhang, and real estate up there is going to be extremely limited. Probably just enough room for some traction boards or a rifle case with recovery gear etc and I'd rather not crowd it further.

    Ah, I found it. It was senor Cudgel.

    @Cudgel do your motor mounts fold the antenna all the way flat or does it still angle up some?

    Wouldn’t it be cheaper to just have one made rather than buy a Prinsu?

    Just for the love of god, don't make it look like a prinsu and then try and sell them here. You're gonna have a bad time.

    Wouldn't that put all the weight just on the two mounting bolts up front?

    I run a Comet SBB-2 NMO Mount on my roof. They’re easy to take off and there’s a cap you can screw on in the antennas place.

    This due to TW’s crappy linking.

    Martin Rack is the one that comes to mind for me. @geekhouse23 and I were on a smear campaign war path for that guy.
