I Need Suspension Lift Help!

The more I read the more confused I get. My thoughts for now are as follows:

Guardrails: This is my daily driver and I want more aggressive tires while balancing drivability and fuel efficiency as it will spend 95% of its time on the highway (I commute 2 hours per day all hwy). That said, I want to have off-road capability when fun is required.

Truck: 2018 Tacoma Double Cab Off Road, totally stock.

Looking for your expertise but this is my current thought process.

-265/75/16 K02s - C load
-Billstein 5100s all around
-OME Springs (open to Eibach or others - I know it sounds trivial but I like the look of non black coils)
-Rear leaf pack (unknown size)

Outstanding Questions:

1-What amount of front and rear lift do I need to maintain factory rake? If I run 2 in up front from the coils, what size rear leaf pack do I need to make sure I don't look silly towing (personal preference don't light me up).

2-Which coils are best for a soft daily driver? Again, off-road capable but my preference is for the best ride possible.

3-If I'm running a 2 in lift do I need UCAs? What are the benefits/detractors?

I have a flexible budget, not that I want to spend King money, but I also want to balance getting the best for my dollar and don't mind spending more to make sure its right for my needs.

It’s perfect the way it sits...nothing you do to it will make it perform significantly better off road, it may look cooler and that’s probably what you’re after. Which is fine also

Your list looks fine. I think the Bilstein 5100 rear shocks only allow one inch of lift. You might consider the 5160 even with that, you only get 1 1/2"

 

If OP gets a leaf pack the 5100s will be able to get 2 inches. Dakar mediums are 2" at 0 lbs in bed and Dakar heavies are 2" at 660 lbs in bed (all with 5100s).

 

As everyone else is saying, truck is plenty capable as is. Tires do help as the stock ones are meh. Just ensure you upgrade your spare to the same size as well.

Since you drive 2 hours a day and you don't offroad much I'd actually suggest you take some of that suspension money and spend it on gear instead. Gear works great on road as well as offroad.

-Viair air compressor (or similar) for flat tires on the highway or airing down/up offroad
-tire plug kit
-extra tire valves
-battery jumper (

NOCO gb40 is great) trust me, you'll leave the radio or lights on when offroading and you'll come back to a dead truck
-Front/rear recovery point for those unfortunate times you or another gets stuck
-a snatch strap, not a tow "recovery" strap (ARB makes a good budget option)
-A D-handle shovel from home depot (no krazy beaver required)
-A fire extinguisher (have seen plenty of vehicles on fire on road as well as offroad) Old and new cars burn just the same

Besides that, just air down a bit and have fun with your Tacoma and KO2s

 

Bilstein offers 3 shock options for the rear.
0 to 1 inch
1.5 to 3 inch
And 3 to 5 inch.

 

Watching. Kinda in the same boat. Been leaning toward 5100's

 

The Eibach kit will get the job done. Rides great on road and performs off-road.

 

Have you found that specific tire size in C load? I tried finding it before and I couldn’t find it. Just wanted to mention that in case you haven’t found them already. They may be available now though but when I was searching I couldn’t find them in C in that size. 265/70/17 yes but not 265/75/16.

So I found a pair on Discount Tire last night in 265/76/16 that was listed at $188 per tire, which was quite a bit cheaper than the e rated version. I assumed it was a C load. I still have them in my cart but I cant click on them or find them with the search function now?

Not sure man. I just haven’t see the C in that 16” size but I haven’t been actively searching recently either. You can either go E load (though it’s kind of overkill) or maybe step up to a 17” or go with a different brand if you don’t want E or to go to a 17”.

This looks sharp! For the rear, did you get 1 or 1.5 inches from the Dakars?
