I also am going with mostly carpeted surfaces in my build for the cozy feel.

One thing to be weary of...my buddy has had a bedrug in his truck for a couple years and it pretty much smells like dog now. He does have two 100+ lb dogs that ride and sleep back there all the time, so that's probably as much doggy abuse as a bedrug is ever gonna see. I plan to try to vacuum it out every now and then. It shouldn't be too hard once I can stand up in there!!!

Our 25lb Boston Terrier is one stinky dude. He'll top our 70lb Boxer any day when it comes to stank. We may need to get it professionally cleaned if he keeps sleeping back there....

They’re pretty stout! I’ve literally removed my bed rug and given it a “car wash” with a high pressure hose spray. Hang to dry (somewhere near a drain preferably). Worked perfectly!

they are designed to have oil/etc pressure washed right off them. I have tried it with my old one. speaking of which I need to get a new one for my drifter floor with the new storage unit.

I really like the quality and color of those LED strip lights. Where can I find them?

It’s a Webasto/Black forest 31 qt. It’s pretty small but big enough for what we wanted.

They're made of fiberglass and then bed lined. They blend right in!

Has anyone made a base plate for their long bed build out? I'm starting to look ahead and both 4x6 and 5x5 plywood are short in one dimension or another.

One option would be to do a two piece base plate. You can do a lap joint running down the center with some fasteners if necessary. You may not really need a base plate. It makes changing things up easy but if you know what you want to build, you can just bolt it to the floor.

Anyone have any suggestions for low-profile, quick disconnect brackets that could be used to support an awning?

I got a killer deal on one of the cheap Chinese clones, and I want to be able to switch it to either side, as well as make the mounting adaptable in case the thing has a catastrophic failure on the first use and has to be upgraded.

As an example, something like this would be perfect, but unfortunately they don't seem to be available anymore.

I thought about that, but I can't envision any way to make it low profile, quickly removable, and secure enough off road all at the same time...
    Any specific ideas?

I'd like quick release brackets so to facilitate removing the awning when doing long highway runs with less drag. I'd store it in the bed.

Had a date with Deaver! The truck feels soooo much better and it was long overdue. Truck rear end sits 2” higher which is completely perfect.

5.29’s swap from 4.88’s in progress.
Stoked on how the truck is coming along.
    Hmmm...shackle flip next?
