Sweet run today. I need to get myself some better shocks, sort out my steering issue, and maybe get myself a Go-Pro mount, the video the missus got isn't the best.

The last road we attempted got a bit too much, and had to turn around. Not much worse then the power line, until we hit the bog with some sketchy half bridge in the middle.

For some reason I didn't take any pics others haven't already posted really but it seemed like everyone had a good time! Next time I'll definitely pick out more trails as some that I had planned to run were just too wet and one had a really bad washout so I didn't bring us down it... I'll plan to end it out South where the trails are more like dirt roads but go forever next time so people can keep going as long as they wish :) Plus maybe I'll throw a stop in the middle for a BBQ or something :) All in all a good time for sure! Now we need to organize one up in the city and surrounding area so those of us from down this way can come up and see the trails that way! :)

    Good to meet everyone!

Gents. I'm hopefully coming through NS in the next week and I need to know two things.

What's the local laws km beach driving and beach campfires. Aiming for Carters beach but I've heard it's getting more popular and cramped. Would like to be secluded

As far as I understand it there are no coastlines in Nova Scotia where vehicles are legal. On that note, I know lots of guys who drive their trucks down onto the shore and have never had an issue but it is technically illegal I believe. As for fires, at the beaches I go to there are numerous 'firepits' so I assume it is legal but I do not know for sure. If it's a sandy beach you should probably ask before you dig a hole and light a fire. Hope you enjoy your trip to our beautiful province! :)

    *EDIT*
So I just did some reading up on the laws and i can't find anything that specifically says vehicles are not allowed on shorelines AND i found some references to a peace officer being able to seize your vehicle or off highway vehicle if you are breaking laws on the shoreline so I THINK it might be ok to drive on shorelines, I'm just not positive. Maybe call DNR and ask them?

    heres what I found.

    "Land that’s set aside
Certain lands are set aside to protect the natural environment and allow areas to be used for walking, or other non-motorized recreation.
oHVs are generally not allowed unless they are authorized by the department that regulates the area.
    BeachesBeaches include
    • coastal lands that lie below the mean highwater mark
    • any other coastal or lakeshore area that is designated as a beach
Beaches are protected through the Beaches act Regulations.
    Click www.gov.ns.ca/legislature/legc/statutes/beaches.htm"

That was found here https://novascotia.ca/natr/ohv/handbook/pdf/7RandR.pdf and seems to fall under the OHV Act/ Rules and Regs (Off Highway Vehicle)

Well... I think i got the answer I didnt want to find.

    "
    Vehicles
9(1)Except with a permit from the Minister, it shall be an offence to have or use a vehicle on a beach.
(2)Subsection (1) does not apply to a vehicle used to launch a vessel on a beach.
    "

    Found under here:

    Beaches Regulations

made under Section 13 of the

    Beaches Act

    R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 32

    O.I.C. 89-580 (effective May 17, 1989), N.S. Reg. 70/1989

    amended to O.I.C. 2015-96 (effective April 1, 2015), N.S. Reg. 75/2015

Maybe I can get a permit from the Minister?

You know my ass end has a hell of a lot of lift, where my front end doesn't looks a bit like a front end squat but Ill have a suspension specialist look at it on the way back. I do have a heavy front end though. ARB with winch.

As for lift it was a couple inches, maybe 2.75 in the front and like 11" in the back haha
