I agree. My police academy challenge coin and the coin given to me by the former Vice President are my two most valued coins since it would be very hard to ever replace them. I started collecting coins for the military bases that I was visiting just as a way to keep track of all the places I've been. But they could easily be replaced if lost or stolen.

All mine got stolen out the back of my U-haul in Seattle a few years ago along with the box that had all of my 201 file paperwork in it. Thieves must have been soiling themselves for a while when they saw the training records in there.

    Haha. Yeah pretty much.

Synthetic aperture radar analysis, microfacial expression analysis, surveillence and counter-intel detection strategies were among them. Granted the class titles sounded way cooler than the material presented, but yeah...it sounds scary enough.

Worst part was the box it was in also had my favorite pair of hiking pants that North Face has long since discontinued. I loved those pants man!

Can I just tell everyone how much I hate classified sales...whether it be truck parts, vehicles, furniture, etc...there is no honor in it...

Doesn't matter if you are the first to ask for something or try to make arrangements for purchase, people just sell shit out from under you anyway! It really pisses me off! If I am first to express interest, I should have first crack at purchase, even if it takes a few days to arrange the sale. ..but no sellers feel that way...there is no shame in their game. They sell the shit to who ever they feel like, despite the rules of common courtesy...:frusty:

I try to give that courtesy when I (rarely) sell stuff on KSL. That said, if you can't make it for 4 days, and someone is willing to come look at it today, cash in hand...you better hope I like you. Not trying to be shitty, but a LOT of KSL buyers are just as flakey. I just want my crap gone and money in my pocket.

Did a few odds and ends to the truck today. Added some L track, finished up the hi lift mounts, and mounted the HD tech deck.

I was impartial to my other mounts, but everyone seemed to love them. So I offered up my mounts in exchange for the HD tech deck, straight trade (no cost to me). Got taken up on that offer within minutes.

When I was a police officer our shift agreed that pepper spray was only to be used on dogs and ONLY if there were no other cops around. I would have rather been tased every day for a year then get pepper sprayed again.

Yeah I think you mentioned that to me once. And how one guy used it and everyone hated him for awhile. Man my eyes are watering just thinking about it.

Yeah that’s how the agreement started. He pepper sprayed half the shift in a big fight. No one would talk to him for a long time.

FYI, the gel isn't quite as effective because it requires precision to get it in the target areas. The stream spray is much easier to give someone a decent exposure because it splatters...but you also run the risk of a secondary exposure when you deploy it.

Also wanna make sure it’s non flammable...don’t want to spray someone’s face and have it catch on fire.

I don't even carry it anymore for this very reason. If I get into a situation where I could justify pepper spraying someone, it is highly likely things have escalated enough they are just going to take the 5 second ride instead.

I was telling my coworker yesterday I would be tased 5 times in rapid succession before I'd take a second voluntary exposure to OC. (Required to be certified as an OC instructor). Sure the taser absolutely sucks, but when the 5 seconds are over, you are done. No 8 hr+ recovery time and feeling like you have sand in your eyes for days...or the secondary exposure when you get in the shower afterward....just pull the probes and your done.

Pro tip....wear a condom in the shower after exposure.
