    Best advice I can give:
    1. Define what your purpose for the rig is. You mentioned overlanding. What type? Out west? The northeast? The south? General use? All of these areas have different terrain which will require different mods. Overlanding in the northeast, for example, requires a fair amount of rock crawling. Skids and sliders are almost mandatory here.
    2. Start reading and don't buy any mods until you learn everything you can about them. Learn how they work and the ramifications it will have on your overall system.
    3. Refer to 2.

    Like, so many.
Welcome aboard. Here’s my standard list of easy mods:

    1. Bed mat. It’s life changing.

    2. All weather floor mats (Husky or WeatherTechs).

    3. Hondo Garage radio knobs. You don’t know that you need them, but you do. You can thank me later.

    4. If you don’t have an OR, get a tow hook from an OR. Paint it red or something cool.

    5. Check our the regional forums ASAP. They are the heart of this whole thing.

    6. Rear diff breather mod.
