When my schedule was all fucked up because I was a full time grad student working full time with 2-3 part time jobs going my sleep was horrid... when I finally quit and just did school and a full time job.. took me about 6-8 months to catch up on sleep.

Having poor sleep schedules and always being on the go really hurts you long term. I know your schedule is all over the place.

I do my best to practice good sleep hygiene. I try to go to bed at the same time every night regardless of whether I have to go to work or not. I do not use my phone in bed. I really should take the TV out of the room especially since it's a 55'' LOL but I leave it. I read at night before bed (and a real book, not an Ebook). I'm laying in bed an hour before I need to be asleep. I have eliminated caffeine except for first thing in the morning but eliminate it after 2-3pm.
I also have blackout blinds and curtains, and I tape over the light on my smoke alarm. My room is fucking DARK all day.

I'm also a YUGEEE fan of essential oils. Lavender oil does wonders for me. I have a diffuser I put the oils in and have it sitting on my headboard above me. I will turn this on as I'm reading and it helps calm me. I like DoTerra. I have tried a couple other cheap brands... not the same. Go for the good stuff. If you have allergies, get their Breath blend, it's magical.

Also... Yoga. There are some sun salutations and a few balance poses you can do that take 5-10 minutes. It calms you, gets you to breathe, and you'll sleep easier.

Sleep is essential for me. It's my number one trigger for my immune system. If I'm not getting 8 hours a night, my immune system gets mad, attacks me, and my thyroid just dies. I've had to learn to make that part of my life a #1 priority.

IDK how you can only do 4 hours LOL

Try melatonin, it works for me most of the time but sometimes I do feel “foggy” for a few hours after I wake up.

Me and my girlfriend are going to try and start a (mostly) paleo diet. She already can’t do any cow milk dairy and doesn’t do a lot of rice or breads anyway. It’ll be tougher for me cuz I love pastries and shit, but I’m really curious as to how my body will feel after a few weeks. I’m going to try and stick to it as best I can, but we’re not giving up beer haha we both love beer way too much. It’s already killing me the last 2.5 days without a beer with this damn concussion. No way I could cut it out entirely.

Those people that I know that have tried it feel better.
Any diet thats gets you away from processed junk I think is really going to improve how you feel.

But when I look at it:
    No beer
    No bourbon
    No rice
    No beans
    No chickpeas
    No butter
    No cheese
    No happiness
    No sunshine
    No sex

    Thats all I see haha.

I eat pretty healthy for the most part already, but I definitely have a lot of processed foods that I want to cut out. Hopefully reduce some inflammation. I’ve already cut a lot of dairy out of my diet just because the girl can’t eat it. We hardly ever have pasta, used to eat that all the time. Gonna have to figure out some more good fish recipes to make. Veggies will be tough for me, I’m still a child and hate them unless they’re smothered in melted cheese and other shit haha. It’ll definitely be a challenge

Haha I love my veggies. I had to quit keto because I loved veggies too much.

Broccoli and cauliflour tosses in seasoned salt and pepper and roasted at 400F is awesome.

Spinach is heaven in a leaf.

I also like to roast onion, cauliflour, peppers, carrots, and broccoli after coating them in olive oil and garlic.

I much prefer raw veggies than cooked veggies. Carrots especially. Can’t eat those when they’re cooked and squishy haha. Same with broccoli, would much rather just eat it raw. Cauliflower too, raw with a sprinkle of salt on it. I can do spinach I guess. I just threw a handful in my protein smoothie for lunch. Did a frozen banana, handful of blueberries, almond butter, spinach, vanilla protein and water.

See yeah I don’t do smoothies. Thats like baby food. I was seeing a naturopathic physician for a bit and she wanted me to do a juice cleanse and elimination diet... can’t do it LOL. I know shes right but... I’d just starve lol

But always gotta do what works for you.

And I forgot the other dudes name that is swole and recently joined us lol yota something

Alright so my schedule is crazy. We know this. I do what I can with what I got. That being said, wake up and about an hour later, at gym.

I have been eating a banana and peanut butter when I wake up followed by pre-w.

I’m wondering if there’s other foods that will give more energy over the banana option while trying to burn fat, not add on the LB’s.

Google is all over the place

    Any personal recommendations?

The ER doctor never even checked me for concussion. So I haven’t been “officially” diagnosed. But I’m not gonna go back to the doctor to have them tell me I have a concussion and to just rest. I’m already loads better than I was yesterday and Monday

    I agree.

As long as there is no vomiting, serious headaches, loss of consciousness, or memory lapses, and its been over 48 hrs no need for more medical bills to ensure you reach your yearly deductible lol

Isnt it horrible we have to think of it that way?

I eat rice cakes. They are low in fat and delicious. I get the Quaker rice chips. The caramel and apple cinnamon ones have almost 0 fat. As I was just googling I learned they have a ton of flavors I’ve never seen though and now I want to try them all

Yup. I’m already dreading receiving the ambulance and ER bill. Thinking I should just sterilize some pliers and pull the staples out my self next week
Ohh those apple cinamonl ones are crack. Used to eat those a bunch. Forgot the other flavor I had, maybe ranch? Damn good.

Imagine having no insurance lmao I don’t ever goto the doctor unless I think I’m actually dying.

Still better than free healthcare with shitty doctors and more freaking taxes tho
