Looking for brush guard/ bumper recommendations. Damn deer.

Do you guys think one of those bull bars would have helped or do they crumple? Looking into one of those. I really would like the full steel bumper but that's a ways off.

If you had a brush guard or bull bar, it would have done MUCH more damage. They don't call them "damage multipliers" for nothing.

Steel bumper with headlight hoops is the ticket.

I have been eyeing up one of these made by Avid. It’s their bumper guard made of heavy steel tubing.

That looks like a compromise between a brush guard and a steel bumper. Where does a guard like that attach to?

From what I seen they attach to the frame. I like a full off-road bumper but I would have to change out springs. The bumper guard is like 35lbs. I can deal with that. I found them when looking at different hybrid bumpers.

I'll consider this too I think. Geekhouse23, would this also fall into the "damage multipliers" category like bull bars?
    Thanks for the opinions guys.

I want to say yes. The plate bumpers are built beefier, thicker and with better materials designed to handle impacts.

For those that saw me on Saturday, one of you guys commented on my shackle mount. The previous owner of the bumper hit a prius going 40mph. That was the only damaged. Now imagine a bull bar or the avid bar in the same scenario.

I know there is an "Avid products" thread on here and there has to be some impact/collision information there.
