What up. Something is up with my truck. Gas gauge is reading incredibly wrong, it takes for ever to go either up or down. So my question is, What the average mile traveled on full tank of gas on a 98? Or better yet, what is wrong with it?

I get 200-220 to a tank but as always YMMV. My truck is probably much heavier with all of the armor

    what are your driving habits?
    that 'may' make some difference
i can push at least 330-350 miles on my tank before the light will no longer flutter
usually, though ... this past winter it struggled to make it to 300
majority of mine are highway miles and not so much stop-n-go

Full tank, but gauge reads different, it not accurate at all.

do you carry a spare gallon of gas to do some experimenting until you can get the gauge fixed?

see how many miles per gallon you are getting and then keeping track with the odometer reading to know when to fill up

I am sure somebody here on TW knows how to fix the fuel gauge

I get around 150 miles if I really stretch things

I found this out the hard way about 175 miles .Running out of Gas is so embarrassing

So now I put gas in around 100 miles

thank you , the custom stuff i do it as per request. Lately it has been more of OEM repairs and such.

that's what i been doing, this is my 3rd week owning the truck but i need to find a fix for this issue.
