Anyone use a Waterless Wash Method?

I live in an apartment and don't have access to running water outside and the only car wash business in my city that does hand washes turned into a drive through car wash.

Waterless wash products have become quite common these days. Are there any worth trying out? Of course i'm not talking about using it after a wheeling session but rather in between proper washes to remove that layer of dust and pollen.

Onr works great and its not expensive

 

i have used that myself with maybe 2-3gal water for the whole job. it's good for what you figure will wash well with little water. it's decent stuff but obviously any real filth will require water blasting.

Yes, I live in a condo and do a rinseless wash all the time. I use Wolfgang Uber other options that I've heard are better than ONR are McKees n914, Carpro ech2o and Ultima.

Also even if you never did a rinseless wash the product would be useful as a detail spray, clay lube and will clean glass as good as any dedicated glass cleaner.

 

If you want something that leaves nothing behind (ie. "Wax"), then McKees n914 is awesome. If you want some great gloss, then Wolfgang Uber can't be beat. It's awesome stuff. Super slick and glossy.

I put it in one of those small garden weed sprayers that you pump. Get one at Lowe's or Home Depot. Spray down the vehicle so it's saturated, and use two or three microfiber drying towels to wipe it all down.

 

My recommendation is carpro ech2o for a waterless wash. Can also be a quick detailer, and rinsless wash. You can use it from spray bottle or add some to a bucket of hot water. It's very slick and leaves a great gloss behind. Very versatile product. Also you can mix in some carpro reload to a spray bottle of ech2o and that makes a cleaner with a great sealant. Reload is my favorite sealant. It looks great, feels great, a little goes a long way and it protects for a long time.
Get those 2 products and a bunch of good microfiber towels. A bucket with a grit guard is nice to have too if you're working from a bucket and doing a rinsless wash. The grit guards are very effective. Let us know how you make out.

 

i have this and the green (wax) version and love it. Use it with their big red sponge. I buy both by the gallon...

 

I use optimum no rinse as well. It's really good for a few washes between the real water wash.

 

Well I feel bad now, never saw the comments you guys left. For whatever reason I didn't receive any notifications for this particular thread. I came up with a solution. I found a good auto car wash for $8 that only utilizes pressure washers so no contact other than brushes for the wheels. I then go over the Truck with Griot's Garage water-less wash for missed spots and the door jams.

I'll make sure to check out Optimum No rinse once i'm out of the Griot's as it seems to be highly regarded.

 

Griots makes some good stuff, I like their speed shine, also use it for a clay lube, there microfiber detergent is good too and they make some great polishes and compounds . Good idea going over the truck after a touchless wash, they use recycled water and chemicals to "clean" your car, so giving it a rinsless wash or waterless wipe down after is a great idea.

 

The Duragloss Rinseless wash is awesome stuff. Very similar to the Wolfgang Uber.

 

I had no idea it was recycled water... It claims it does a spotless rinse at the end but who knows what that means or if it's actually DI water. Yeah i'm very happy with the Griot's so far it just doesn't leave to much of a shine.

I'll check it out, there are so many options to choose from.

 

Stick with optimum, carpro, shine supply can't go wrong.

 

The Duragloss Rinseless has Aquawax in it and it actually lasts a long time. There's some testing going on on an Autogeek thread and the DG Rinseless is on par with some actual stand-alone paint sealants.
