They always had better prices than the places in Columbus. Not sure since they moved over there now.

 

I think I'm gonna get either 2 1x8's or 4 1x4's and use those to go sideways. Then make 2 identical frames(roughly 2 1/2x6) out of 1x1 square aluminum tube with 1/8 aluminum riveted to that and use it as a sleep platform. I figure this way it won't rot and be a lot lighter than the wood I have now. The particle board is a pain in the ass to move around.
I have it drawn out in my head, just might not be describing it very well

Been sleeping like shit lately. Ready for this weekend.

 

Just looking up aluminum for the sleep platform. I've got all the measurements. Now I just need to call and see if I can get a good price locally.

I need:
7 - 1x1's 72"
2 - 1x8's or 4 1x4's 60"
2 - 72"x28.5" 1/8 aluminum sheet


Basically this but out of aluminum and two identical pieces on top so it will be easier to move.

Ooh that looks nice. Is it gonna be fold in halfable? Storage open underneath?

 

I will take the 1x8's or 1x4's and put them in the slots off the bed. The 1x1 frame will sit on top of those to make the sleep platform. Nothing will be permanently mounted. By making 2 pieces to sleep on, it'll make it easier to move around and store when not in use. The underneath will be open
