Added a small usb powered fan to the shell. It’s supposed to be hot this weekend and I don’t feel like waking up in a puddle of sweat



Replaced the 2 damaged fender flare clips.

And I finished packing it for my trip.

 

Mall crawled a little today. Well, not exactly a mall, but I'm out DoorDashing, right, (don't judge me), and I get a burger King order which I'm supposed to go into the dining room for. Door is locked at 10pm, even though the hours say 11pm.
Ummm.. ok. Drive thru is hopping so I pull through and the lady says, "Sorry, we stop taking door dash orders once the dining room closes" and she sounds like a cranky old hag, so I'm like 'screw this'. There are cars in front of me and two behind me, so I see there's a curb and a grass embankment to my right that leads to another parking lot. 'There's my line' I thought. So up I went. My five lug made me proud! Up and out of there like it was nothing. Mall crawled like a champ!

 

Installed a water pump for camp shower/cleaning the kids on the go


Going to try it out this weekend during a camping trip. Wife thinks my projects like this one are dumb.... until she wants to get clean while camping...

 

Tires Not on the truck yet but I did install my third and front diff with 4.88’s but nobody wants to see the outside of diffs so here’s the tires that came in today.

 

I should have known better, we never use that part place at work.

Lately I haven’t been able to stay at work late or go in early so having access any time to the shop and a hoist but having to do shit in my laneway made it that much more frustrating when the damn part doesn’t fit lol

I’ve been a tech for 10 years now, I can’t even imagine how many plugs I’ve changed but these things always seem to have clean looking plugs.

When I bought mine I did the plugs, pulled the first 1 and called the old owner to ask if he did the plugs recently. I was sure they had less then 5000k on them.

 

I don’t have a shell but, a factory rack with Thule cross bars might get it even. This is a pic of my cab rack. Nothing better than racks on racks!

 

Pop off the plastic end caps and spray some fluid film inside. Mine were rusting from inside out too.

Started out with the new Griots polisher a couple months ago very conservatively using polishing sealer and then a poly wax that did a very nice job. I thought I had the paint looking better than new but when in the bright sun I noticed some fine scratches still. I just picked up some correcting cream and started over using an led to find all of the scratches and followed with the polish/sealer and poly wax. I can now say it’s better than new. It was a little work over a couple of days, but it has a mirror finish now. Pretty happy with it until I scratch it all up again this winter.
Used the Rubber Care on the wheels and plastic which gives a nice original look.

That's good to hear! I have goodyear wipers before hand, they lasted for about 2 years
