    It's funny, I just ran a few hundred mile trip this past weekend and noticed I'm over 200k. I remember in the 80s and 90s that anything close to 100k was prolly close to end of service life lmao. Then I got into Cruisers and Toyota and my mind was blown. 200k on these truly is nothing to bat an eye at. Crazy.

    Wasn't it Toyota that sort of revolutionized that concept here in the states? I could be just regurgitating something I heard without any real proof ... but I had heard that until Toyota became so popular for their reliability past 100k, most domestic auto manufacturers made crap that would be lucky to last that long. As Toyota grew bigger and bigger the Big 3 had to build a better product to keep from falling way behind.
