@nai_hiro Can't go wrong with bilstein 5100s. I have 5100s all around, 887 coils, spc ucas, headstrong 3 leaf add-a-leaf (AAL). I purchased the kit from headstrong offroad, they even assembled the front coilovers for a fee.
Sitting on 285/70r17 wildpeak at3w tires wrapped around method wheels 17x8.5 with 0mm offset. Yes I did the cmc and hammered the pinch weld.

I wanted to improve the handling of my truck so researched how all the suspension components inter operate with each other. Once I understood suspension systems I looked at digressive shock systems and the affect of new UCAs. Ultimately it was less about the number of inches of lift and more about the mix of components. Yes good suspension is expensive. I have a detailed write up in my build thread.

Cost me 122 bucks to ship front and rears separately from NY to HI. So it’s really not that bad VIA USPS

I bought new. Sent it to my moms house in NY cause I was visiting. Then when I was about to come back home I sent the boxes out.

Go through @HeadStrong Off-Road for your front/rears/UCAs and I got my OME HD leaf packs from 4WParts in Waipahu. Headstrong won’t rape us on shipping. But leaf packs require freight so it’s more expensive that’s why I went with 4WP for those.

Sounds good. Tried to create some packages but it says they aren’t accepting payments right now on their site.

Gonna have to check that out. I’m on the Big Island. There’s some local shops that have lift kits here too but worried about the price haha.

Yea buying here locally is a no go. The stuff they sell is mostly not very good.(we’ve all seen the braddahs Tacoma’s lol giant spacers and blocks). You have to correspond with them on here and they will set you up with an invoice and you just PayPal them cause their site says they won’t ship to Hawaii. If you stay under 2.5 you won’t need the aftermarket UCAs or brake line extensions, so you can save some coin there.

Yeah. I mean there’s a well known shop here on the island but I’m sure the installation fee would add a bit more too.
Some friends were recommended spacers and blocks haha. I’m gonna be driving on the road most of the time so it’s been a tough decision. I do want to off-road when I need to/ want to though. I definitely wanted the minimal so 2.5” would be perfect. Just want bigger wheels and tires eventually and that’s just more to the costs.

Here is a link to another setup you might consider OP. Appears to be a great setup from reviews here and I can tell you first hand they have great customer service. I was just in your position and after much debate this is what I ended up going with over the Bilstein/OME. Still waiting on mine to come in, but if it is as good as the reviews here say it is then I think I will be happy, just another option for ya

    Lots of sail boat fuel
I run foxes at 2" and use all the travel on a regular basis. 2" performs the best for me, handling wise.

I bought an ADS set up from headstrong. If you have a friend on the mainland they ship free in the 48. Ship it to a friends house via headstrong(ups) then have the friend take it to the post office and ship it via USPS it will save you a few hundred bucks.
