Just checking, has anyone heard from OVTune guy lately? There's a rumor on that one forum that he's layering up clothing, I hope to/for Christ that's not true.

Just completed my flash. I was a little nervous as I was getting all kinds of warnings on the dash when it was going through the process. Truck started right up and seems to be fine. Letting it idle for about 5+ minutes then will take it for a spin. Starting out with 87 base.

I have 2000 miles starting next week, considering running 87 fob for it.

The warnings are completely normal. You will see them every time that you flash.

Definitely! I am back on 87 FOB. Doing the DTC and LV Resets after the tune loaded changed it dramatically for me. All for the better.

Thanks, tonered for putting my mind at ease.

Just got back from a short drive. WOW - this is the way the truck should have come from Toyota. No more "limp dick" throttle. Had to learn to coordinate the throttle and the clutch all over again.
Well done, Mat!:burnrubber: Fingers crossed my truck doesn't go back to it's old ways.:fingerscrossed:

What is meant by the DTC and LV resets? Diagnostic Trouble Code?

I'm also curious about what the dtc and lv reset are!

You're welcome. It is great that you are enjoying it.

Yes. That is DTC and LV is Learned Value. I did not try to read the DTCs before resetting them.

What's the procedure? Did you just disconnect battery or something?

    These are my steps:

    -- Apply the tune
-- Reset DTC and LV after the tune is finishing loading
-- Start and idle of 8min
-- Turn off, restart, and drive

Prior to this, I was pulling the battery terminals, touching them together for about 10sec, and then waiting another minute or so. No more of that now. @OVTune said somewhere in thus or the Dev thread that it is no longer needed with those Resets.

A bit easier and the results seem to feel better.

That's perfect I'll give that a try. Are you able to reset in the tune app itself?
