I did the same, mine should be here today. Thank goodness, too, because I drive a lot of highway and my rear view is mostly obstructed now due to the tire carrier.

I went to the OP and I looked up 87961-42d20.
The only description is With signal lamp, japan built, without blind spot
Nothing about heat, and yes why not have both?o_O

I used part number shown in post #1. I should have verified it's for the heater mirrors, before I ordered.

I ordered the mirrors for $44.90 a piece using the numbers from the first post using McGeorge Toyota. They have the correct prongs for heat. Grab between the bulb and female end and yank with a pair of needle nose pliers.

Is there a set of these that are compatible with the BSM on the Tacoma?

How much of the ground does the convexity show? I live on a hill and have to back down a tight driveway. I am constantly adjusting the mirror down to be able to see the side of the driveway as I'm backing down. Would these allow you to see a downward angle without moving the mirror? It's a minor thing but I almost always forget to readjust the mirror until I am a few blocks away.

Newer/higher level trim Rav4 has BSM in place of the blind spot mirrors.

Very simple answer to your question. Like what @SearArtist quote, is pointless having both. You better off buying a blind spot like the picture below and attaching it to your current mirror if you want both.

It only shows what's in your blind spot unfortunately, they are not convex enough to show the ground. If you want that, better off buying some of the 2" round ones and sticking on your factory mirrors.

That’s why I said 1 or the other and not both. Must of quoted the wrong post.
I can see the ground slightly. Not fully like I was used too on the old truck with the stick ons (useful for towing a trailer) but I also stuck them on the bottom corner. I’ll have to double check but I thought I could still see roughly near the rear tires

Pictures taken at eye level at what I see.
Ok so I wouldnt even look at the convex portion when backing up but still use the main mirrors. You can’t see the rear tires (at least how I aligned my mirrors, you could probably lower the mirrors more but I’m happy with this adjustment) but I can still see past the tires to the ground and wouldn’t have a problem backing up using the mirrors. I don’t tow a trailer anymore so not sure how I’d feel about these mirrors if that was the case (when towing I actually like seeing the rear tire/ground).

I am a little worried how easy the side mirrors pull off, just need to give a firm pull. I hope nobody decides to ripoff my mirrors.

When I was shopping for my truck, back in March, I test drove a 2018 that had the convex mirrors, and I liked them. I don't know if it came that way or if the dealer added them.

Anyyway, my truck didn't come with them. I just now ordered a set from Sparks Toyota. Total including shipping was $106.

Edit: My mistake. It was $109.75 including shipping.

I received my mirrors today. Installation was easy, but I was afraid of breaking something so I took my time. Still, total time was about 30 minutes. I could do it in less than 5 minutes now. :notsure:

I really like the result. I no longer have blind spots.

Yeah, they cost more than those little round stick on ones, but they work better and look better.
