Thank for the info, I feel better about it :), but i still want to find a powered tailgate lock for it. i just dont know if there's one that would fit right now since its a 2011 and im not sure if the 2009 with camera is the same as the 2011

Sounds like you bought it from Gene Reed cause they told me the same thing when I bought mine last year. I heard there are a lot of Us Charleston but I don't know about any off-roading around here or any other kind of meets. We all need to get together and have a beer and organize something. I used to fish my ass off back home but I'm still learning this saltwater thing at the moment. You might have seen me around base, I have a white URD sticker in my back window and I spend most of my life there these days. Do you ride a bike as well?

    I dont have a bike,
we should go fishing one day and bring some beers, i keep hearing Breach Inlet is good for sharks on low tide.

I bought the clamps they had them at autozone for 2.89 with tax using the Military discount. i'll have to wait till i get the truck to buy the washers since i dont know what size they should be.

You know, I don't get it about the stealer always saying "this is a nothing deal" or we lost money on this vehicle!! I know they will tend to sell at a lower price a the very end of the month, and also I believe that they pay interest on cars and trucks that sit on the lot too long. My question is, does anyone really know what the NET NET cost of the vehicle to the dealer is? I know we can see the "invoice price" but what's to say if the manufacturer puts this info on the sticker for the dealer itself? I worked in retail for a few years when I was in college (PC RICHARDS) and NO ONE except the regional sales manager knew what their net-bottom line cost of the item was.
Furthermore, with all the kickbacks, dealer installed items, the finance manager "tweaking" the interest rates, dealer hold back etc, there really is no way I can believe that any dealer would sell a car or truck and lose money on it. They would have to pay the manufacturer more money than you paid the dealer for it! That's not going to happen, there is always an exception to the rule but good luck! Just my .02

NOOOOOO Gene Reed Toyota was a horrible experience, the sales guy was helpful but the manager (big fat guy) was very rude, he talked to me like was asking for charity and not like I was trying to buy a new car. I got mine from West Ashley Toyota, it was totally different there, im gonna recommend them to anyone and as for sales man ask for Matthew he really knows his stuff.

I put the PICTURES on the first post in the first page.

Nice deal. I just picked up a '10 with 46 miles on it for 30k (didn't tell the wife I had the exhaust and cai put in till after deal was done) I searched everywhere for a black 4x4 with the 4.0 in a manual tran, but to no avail. Went with silver though and I still love it.

That was my original plan, to get a 2010 but there wasnt any in black with manual trans. thats why i went with the 2011 and the price was about the same anyways.
I'm very happy with the truck i love it!

there is a buffer that is worked into the invoice price that the dealer shows you. This is called "holdback". I cant remember how it works exactly, but I think the holdback is something that toyota would refund the dealership. It is kind of a reserve. That may be one reason the dealership was willing to drop below the "invoice price". They arent losing as much as they would portray....but the salesman doesnt know the true cost of the car to the dealership.
