    Hey
    I would

I've got a Contigo coffee mug that's a bit too skinny.....it rattles around in the cup holder unless I'm holding it. I don't want to stuff a Koozie in there. I'd rather have those spring-loaded clips they've got in VWs and other cars. Even the Jeeps have those rubber bubble things these days.

If anybody's got a good idea of how to add something like this, let me know

The 30oz Yeti is a must have. It holds two 12oz Bud Lights perfectly. O yea make sure to mod your lid and drill the air hole out to about 1/4 inch so its easier to chug. My 15 2G can hold 4 of these. Two in front of the shifter and two behind the console. Sorry 3G owners you were not meant to drink and drive. lol

No. That analogy would be consistent with him wanting to change vehicles to fit his cup. It's like changing a door frame to fit a chair. If it's a nice chair ... too bad for the door frame. Lol. He must really like this cup. Oh well; his truck.

This is a legit gripe; pop into the convenience store and all the gatorade bottles are huge. I get that certain sizes fit best in different parts of the truck but why do all 12 cupholders have to be the same damn size??

Bullshit... With 7 cup holders in reach of the driver, I'd say the 3G designers were straight up alcoholics.

Your point remains, although reaching the two at the back of the console hurts my shoulder!

LOL. You might need to get that rotator cuff checked :D

And get me a new knee while you're at it. But without the down time of another knee surgery. Thanks!

I think it's a legal thing. Read the embossed print next to the center console cup holders. Bottled water with caps only, or something to that effect. Seems like Toyota is promoting the use of disposable plastic Costco water bottles instead of accommodating reusable containers. Someone already pointed this out, but my wife's 2016 4Runner has large enough holders to take a 32 oz Hydroflask. A minor gripe to be sure, but this has bugged me about my 2018 Taco since day one. Here was my solution:

    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B073SJVMXW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1

It holds less water than I'd like, but it fits the Taco's holders perfectly and the top is the same diameter as the wide-mouth Hydroflask products, so you can get a variety of lids to fit, including the flip-up straw sippy cup style. It's not a Yeti, but it works great.

I designed this Hydroflask holder for the center cup holder. It works really well.

If you send me the diameter of the Yeti, I can update it to fit it.

NO NO a bottle of water might catch your truck on fire. Magnify the sun and burn your seat. The yeti is much safer. lol

Whoops, I just saw that you put the diameter in the original post. I will PM you an STL file that uses that diameter. It is of course, untested, but the one I designed for my Hydroflask has been working great.

Be careful modifying your cup holder, it may void your warranty.

Was also bugged by this. My '09 fit a big insulated bottle just fine. I changed to a skinnier insulated bottle that fits perfectly and keeps things cold really well. This one -- https://www.rei.com/product/127064/gsi-outdoors-ultralight-water-bottle-24-fl-oz

Then I also carry a 7 gallon jug in the bed. New bottle needs more refills than the old one, but with the jug in back that's not a hug deal. I live in a place where for most of the year the weather is at least cool enough in the evenings so that the jug in the back has time to cool off, so my water is generally always nice and cool. If I still lived in the south this solution would be a little shittier.

Feel OPs pain, but life could be worse I suppose. Cheers!
