I’m no expert but I think you should be ok. I looked up 3N14 and it looks 2WD friendly. And I’ve been on 3N16 before which isn’t that bad. I have some recovery tools (no winch) if that gives you some piece of mind

I’ve actually ran that trail as well as others in Big Bear. I have a ton of recovery gear as well. I just wanted to throw it out there that I was 2wd. For some reason that rubs some people the wrong way. Lol. If you all don’t mind that I join I should know Friday if I can make it.

No issues here. Seems like most of us have recovery gear so even if one of us gets in a pickle, we have a backup plan.

What’s really funny is how offended people get when that’s pointed out.

I wasn’t tying to offend you, I was just stating that most 2wd drivers claim that they are capable like someone questions their ability to go have a good time. I’ve wheeled with more 2wds than I can count and we always have a good time.

Some people can’t take a damn joke anymore.

Yeah 3n14/Coxey Rd is 2wd friendly, there are some steep-ish parts of the trail at the beginning in the desert but it's just fire road terrain so nothing a little momentum can't cure. And 3n16 is pretty much a flat fire road

Next trip I am looking to do some driving around in Ocotillo Wells if anyone wants to join. I enjoy the high speed in the washes over overlanding.

I hope you're not trying to do this during the summer.

    And what is "overlanding?"

I was out there Monday morning, it was actually decent weather.

The technical definition: "Overlanding is self-reliant overland travel to remote destinations where the journey is the principal goal."

I know what the definition is. I was being sarcastic on what you were referring to as "overlanding."

    LOL!

Hard to tell when you don't use emojis or something to show your gesture.

I was like "there's no way Shane doesn't know what this means".

I am planning on heading more North away from the heat... :bananadead:

That's if my shocks are back together by Wednesday.
