I know I asked this before but i dont want to make an account for 4runner forum. If I'm looking for an older 4runner, the best year is 99 right? And what are some things that should look for to avoid a headache later on?

Ya I prefer the 99-00 4Runners. Couple more features than the earlier 96-98, and a less complicated transfer case than 01-02.

Then I’ll do the front. Should be sweet. The rear has been a problem for a while, so I’m excited for the upgrade

Yes a few of my Cali buddies posted it earlier today. I skimmed it and it seems like they still don’t really have a plan of action. But this is the closest they’ve been in the last 5yrs or so to shutting the dunes down which sucks. Without being drunk and exaggerating I’d say the dunes and ohv use provide 40-50% of tourism and 25-35% of small business to the area. It’s sad, but I had one hell of a final trip for my buddies bachelor party last November if it was my last trip there.

There ya go. Just cali doing cali things. Think their new ammo laws go into effect next week too. Background check and you have to be registered to a gun in that caliber to purchase ammo. Can’t even buy ammo for your wife’s 9mm if you only have a 40 registered in your name.

Holy shit I never knew the actual lyrics

I’ve got a handful of good friends out there that would be so much freaking happier in AZ if they could get it through their heads that it’s ok to leave.

I look back on it and while I hated it at the time cause I was fresh out of high school, but leaving CA 24 years ago was the best thing that could have happened. I enjoy going back to the Sierras but every time I go back I now just think how much I'd hate living there

Explains why Maynard ended up settling in AZ.
