Can anyone recommend a brake shop in the Eastish Bay? Want to get my rear extended lines put in, and maybe have them give everything a little slap and tickle. Don't trust myself with brakes.

There's Toyotapro in Concord, but they can be a little pricey. MTZ Auto in Martinez is reasonably priced and did good work on my 4Runner

Tent and awning are sold, just waiting to get picked up.

The rack is pending sale as of right now. Someone is suppose to pick up this weekend.

If anything falls through, I will let you know.

Work buddy found this truck in Auburn on Autotrader: Used 2014 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Access Cab V6
Quick search on the vin shows it to be a wrecked Caltrans vehicle sold at auction about a month ago, but with a clean title: 2014 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab V6 5AT 4WD
The unfortunate Rancho choice aside, is it worth looking at even though the seller doesn't disclose the history in the Autotrader ad? Looks okay in pictures...

I’d look at it personally. If the mileage is over 40k and it has minor damage, CalTrans probably just shifted it out of its inventory to make room for the new new. Gotta keep spending the money to keep getting the money...

Clean title or not I would still be cautious that whoever is flipping it only worried about fixing cosmetic damage and there could be underlying problems unseen. Definitely wouldn't pay $20k for that, but maybe could use the lack of transparency to leverage a better price.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
So it's coming up on a new month! I'm figuring since we've done a Mod Day for the last 3 months in a row, why not keep the streak alive?

Anybody got some new shit you want to attach to your truck? Any Newbs here lurking, thinking you should pull the trigger on that order, you have in your cart, from @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc, but don't think you know where to get the lift installed?

Or we could do some maintenance bullshit that is boring as hell when doing it by yourself, but really not so bad when you're drinking a beer and talking some shit while you're at it.

@Motofox you were talking about needing to do some torque spec checks
@unk you're tryin to do an ESCG bushing (Haven't forgotten about you brother)

So what's up? We doin a 209 Mod Day version 9.0?

You may already know that I'm always up for a good donation and today was no exception. Lunch proceeds and donations today go to Sacramento Stand Down who recently had over $35k in supplies for helping homeless veterans stolen. People suck and I'm glad to work for a place that does it part in helping our communities.... Also a good excuse for "free" swag :)20190627_124921.jpg

Only if you get the leaner kit. Hard hat, safety vest, boots (osha), and a broom or shovel to lean on.

On a more serious note, the repairs could have been minor. So unless it’s a salvage title, it’s probably ok.

    Thanks for the recommendation!

Called this morning and Armando said to come on in at 1300. Asked if I could leave it and pick up later today. Showed up at 1315 and decided to wait - figured I'd walk down to Starbucks or whatever. He pulled a Jeep out of the shop, pulled my wife's car in and put it on the rack. Started working on it immediately.

Within 10 mins he had the sensor out and the new one in. Talk about an awesome dude.

If you're in the Bay Area and need a muffler shop/exhaust work done, El Camino Mufflers is the shop to use! Definitely call ahead of time since he is a one man shop.

I’m a fan and have been to him a couple of times. He’s right around the corner from me too. I’ve gotta get the exhaust tuck and will definitely go back.

The only issue is the dick a door or two down from him. He apparently thinks he controls who parks where.
