    There are alot of places here to off road. Hylight is good but you have to know what trail to go on or you end up doing a fifty point turn. Flathead pass is pretty awesome and has really good views, but no desginated campgrounds. There is also little bear which might be a bit tight in spots. So many options just have to choose where.

    so we have:

    Bridgers/Flathead pass - lots of trails
    Hyalite - lots of trails, camping would be a pain though too busy up there on the weekends
    Little Bear - my last trip up there ended after I got smacked in the face by a tree branch coming in the window so yeah, its a tight fit.
    Gravelly Range - lots of roads and views. need extra gas for sure.

    Down by Livingston and Big Sky there's too much private land so I'm thinking those areas are out. I haven't spent any time over in the Crazies - not sure if there's anything worth going over there for.

    My vote would be for the Gravelly run. Definitely enough to keep us busy up there if we made the full run from Ennis to Idaho and back.

    it depends on where we are going. and i think us 1st gen's with our awesome gas mileage will be fine but you 2nd gen guys might want to bring cans.
