I appreciate the enthusiasm. The work I have done is barely a proof of concept though.

I already told you how to do it though.... look up "buy bitcoin" on google trends. Look at the spike of interest that happened on June ****18th*** I had originally said June 23rd, the spike happened on the 18 ... what happened to the price the following week? Its went up by 43%. I'm not lying to you.

Google trends has an API - did you know that? You could write your own program monitoring spikes of interest as an indicator to buy in.

    Have fun.

It takes a lot of work to maintain a platform like this. For example, I missed about 150 buy-ins this morning because my API keys aren't working for some reason, So i'll have to troubleshoot that tonight. Anyone who has actually put in the work is humbled by the processes. One day I'll make good money. And if I can't, my wife will. I'm a great cook.

I doubt I will ever retire. I have to have something to do. Unless I become super rich and can travel all the time, that's the only way I could see it as tolerable.

Marcus just sent me an email saying they are reducing their APY to 2.15%. I wonder if others will follow suit. I guess the drop in Treasury yields is making the banks reduce their interest payouts.

They are if they can pay for it. The last part of that statement is the part no one understands. I appreciate your story. Not a lot of people do it on their own. What is your thought on going into debt for college?

I can chime in on this one. My debt is law school, about $120k (that’s with the GI Bill covering well over half). I don’t think it would be worth it at the $280k average from the school I went to. I am not even sure if what I owe is worth it in the end, I’ll be paying a low rate but for 25 years so probably not.

I love lawyers, literally. My wife is a litigation lawyer and went to a top five school. She took on all of 300k of debt, and we have about 100k left. Her salary is well worth the 300k she took on in my opinion. I think it was well calculated. Partner vote is coming up, fingers crossed. We just refinanced to much lower rate recently too, which makes me happy, and we still pay double the minimum payment to get it down faster.

I choose a path of zero debt. I have two bachelor's degrees and I'm finishing two doctorate degrees, all four are STEM degrees (not shortage of credentials). But my career is slower to start. The nice thing is I can take my time and build it right instead of having the debt looming over my head.

I think there are pros and cons to both, as long as the means can logically justify the ends.
