The screen shot says it's for 2012-2015. I have a 2016, and when I put these values in, I get Err instead of a 0 or 1. There may be an issue with the MATCH parameter -- the screen shot shows two bytes (4 numbers,) but the M Gauge screen on my UltraGauge MX has room for 3 bytes (6 numbers.) I've tried making the MATCH say 006182 and 618200, but they both result in the Err on the display. I notice that the MATCH parameters for the Trans post-TC sensor and the Trans Pan sensor use 3 bytes (621628 and 621627, respectively.) BTW, I have no problem displaying both transmission temperature sensors. Any ideas what I need to change?

In case someone else is having the same issue I was, I have a 2010 and only the codes for 2012+ worked for me

You just need the MX (per the website the MX 1.4 is experimental for 2015+ Mercedes). Get it preprogrammed but you will likely need to program for transmission temp as discussed in this thread.

Just got my gauge and have used this form and information here to program it. After a bit of trial and many errors I have it working except I think there is something missing in the coding of the TC lockup, mine shows 0.0 and will change to 1.0 when I think it locks up. Have gone through the code a few times but always get the same result, has anybody else encountered this problem?

What code are you using for TC lockup, and what year is your Tacoma? The newest code I've found is for 2015's, and it definitely doesn't work on my 2016. At least you're getting a 0.0 or a 1.0 -- all I get is "ERR."

Mine is a 2015 and I used the code that was in this form, I don’t think anybody has come up with the lockup codes for the 3rd gen yet. I was almost ready to pack it up and send it back as I could not get it to work for the trans temps till I found this discussion. I read on another discussion that the blue tooth one is a lot more user friendly then this one. Probably should have done a bit more research before I purchased it.

I bought the MX1.3 pre Programmed for my 2010. Trans temp and TC lockup just say "Err". I'll try the 12-15 codes now.

I can verify that the 12-15 codes worked in my 2010.

And you get the same lock up code format that I get 0.0, so why do some users only get the single digit while we get the two?

That sounds right, unlocked = 0

    Locked = 1

Yup but why do we have the two digits (0.0) for unlocked and 1.0 for locked while the other guys gauges show just 0 and 1.

I would be happy if it worked at all on mine. But it's easy to tell when it's locked. You can hear and feel it. And the converter temp is usually rapidly dropping to match pan temp.

How do you see an oil pressure light or any other warning light?

Since there is no real oil pressure switch that will give you a real-time pressure reading, it’s only a switch that trips the light. So they don’t do a gauge for it.
The manual that you have to download from their site, plus the supplement for the MX gauge shows all the preprogrammed gauges you can show on it. Then there are the 8 MG (manufactures gauges) they put extra into it that are supposed to work on the 2005-2011 models then you have to reprogram them manually for the 2012 to 2015 and the third gen 2016 -.
What other warning lights are you interested in?

I haven't permanently mounted it to anything yet. I just got it yesterday, and have really figured out where I want it.

    Bump

Do the 2012-2015 only have two useable M gauges? I have tranny Pan and TC converter temps programmed but I would like to get AFR or lockup status working.

No somebody provided the lockup codes early on in this thread, kind of worked on my 2015 TRD off road.
    This is what I used
UltraGauge MX v1.3 Code for 2012-2015 Tacoma Lock up Converter Status:
Lock up Converter Status (1=Locked up, 0=Not locked)
    TDATA: 07E02182
    MTCH: 6182
    RPOS: 1F01
    RCTRL: 21
    TCTRL: 92
    X: 0001
    /: 0001
    +: 0000
    Output format: 00
    AVE: 00
    Left/Right is 30
Kind of worked but I get two digits 0.0 and a 1.0
Somebody else tried it on a 2011 and got the sane results.
Give it a try and report back.

I got mine Mounted the way I want it. The lockup gauge works but I have I can only see using it while towing, and I don't often. gauge.jpg
