And I just installed the CB radio TOO.
I had to get rid of the spacer lift for the trucks sake. It was bugging me.
I'll get a new taco once i get my Bachelors from ASU.

Dude cmack... if you do sell what are you going to get to replace it with? No matter what vehicle you have, there is always SOMETHING to fix/mod/spend cash and time on. Nature of the beast.

So, what was broken, and what is still broken? Just saying as I've had 10 cars and have a pretty good idea that sticking with one in the longer term is hella cheaper yo.

did your family buy it new or used? because with all of that stuff it sounds like whoever had it before you didn't take care of it at all.

How many miles are on it?

Almost that entire list seems like consumable/wearable/maintence type stuff. Over time power steering pumps will fail. Carrier bearings on 2nd gens go out more frequent than the spark plugs get foul'd, pulleys wear out too. All pretty standard stuff for any older vehicle.

The rubbing issue... I dunno need to look at the truck and go over it to see what's going on... that'd only happen if you did something to it. CEL light and hesitation could be a number of things... all relating to fuel/spark/air.

Not to insult you or anything, but your payments can't be that much. My 05 I pay $335 a month and it won't be paid off for another 4 years in September. If I could go back and do it again I would have kept my '94 yota and fixed the problems...(see my other comments)

    X1015665516212

With your used truck/car you know what you have and what may or may not need to be fixed. Why go through the money, and time fixing a vehicle just to sell to someone else and then buy something you know little to nothing about. You just did a stranger a solid and are stuck with a potential money trap again, and put yourself right back in the hole.

Yea, my latest was an attempt to save money by not getting another taco and getting that used stealth. Hell I hardly drive it and in the 400mi I've put into it... it's already developed coolant leaks, some huge electrical issue that's causing weird gremlins and the batt to drain, oil pressure erratic, ect ect ect. It ran great when I test drove it, and I don't think he went off to hide anything.... but it's just that I inhereted a bunch of other issues. Aside from that, I decided my focus really changed in what I want for a vehicle thus the '10 taco. If you really do like the truck I'd honestly stick with it... otherwise if you're tired of putting money into it because you don't like it... then go for what you do like and stick with it.

Either way, you're spending cash... personally I would rather spend it on something I enjoy than something that angers me every time something breaks.

Yea man, used 4x4's, used sports cars, ect... they were built to be used and abused.... most of them have.

You can always find one that wasn't but... appearences at first can be highly deciving. If your'e building a trail rig it's less of an issue... if your'e getting it for a DD... well now it's a bigger issue. A used 4x4 will probably still be cheaper than your monthly payments... but single repair events might break the bank where your payments are consistent and predictable.

Hers's the other question can you sell it and get enough out of it to payoff what you owe and have enough to purchase something reliable?

At some point in an engine life it has to be rebuilt, your's may need it to fix some internal problem. So a rebuild may be cheaper than buying a new/used car.

Silly question here, but have you taken it to get diagnosed for the chech engine, if so what was the code and what does it mean?

Yuma that's a great looking truck.... but I'd still look it over very carefully... all the rubber suspension stuff, cv's, under for rust/ect, strange noises, all that. Also it looks like they threw some armor all on the hoses which means if you don't continue it they'll crack up in a few months.

yeah Jake. The truck needs alot of TLC to stay that nice. I like the body style and options but it's too much money for me

That looks like a really nice truck David, the best advice my dad gave me when buying private party. Ask for records and go take it to a mechanic to have it looked over. Buying used is scary, but it be ok if you know what you're doing. If they hesitate to let you take it to a mechanic then I wouldn't even bother with it.
