So my youngest son will be home on leave the weekend of the 4th. Hoping to spend some good times with him, and with the Holiday it's probably a bad weekend for a Mod Day for most anyway.

How bout Saturday July 13th? I'm going to pencil it in regardless. I've got a whole list of petty shit I've been putting off doing on the truck. I can plan on tackling some of it if we get a low turn out.... and if we get a big turn out... it's petty shit anyway, I can kick the can down the road another week or two lol

I'm just throwin dates out. Nothing has stuck yet.

Can't do July 27th. A buddy of mine is planning a camping trip and I have flaked out on the last 2 trips he's planned.

 

I'm itching to do a lift... the 20th would give one of these newbs, or lurkers without an account, time to pony up @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc and get the parts in time to badassesorize their rig!

 

I'm up for a mod day in August.

Gotta be early August. I've got a lot of ground to cover scouting before hunting season in September.

I’d be down for a mod day. Need to pull the trigger on these Eibach coils that have been in my shopping cart for a bit. Might also flip the ubolts and get some super bumps.

 

Haha, I cut my first tire at 2k miles and since have replaced tires, drilled the roof for the prinsu, installed skids, sliders, lift, tint, ladder, valance swap, front camera, 3" ome lift and am about to cut the bumper and install slimline all before 15k miles... Last time we were in for the complimentary oil change the guy asked "what did you do to this thing!?!?!?!". Hahaha

Totally want to do a u-bolt flip. But need to figure out how I'm going to stuff these under there while I'm at it.

 

Totally hear ya. I am debating a 1inch body lift AND mounting above frame - then even with the bottom of axle - as well as canting them / \ and angling them rearward behind axle (slightly in front of the driver, upper, stock location).

Also looking at doing Chevy 63s so I want more than 10 inches of travel on the shocks.

 

Yes... Like that... Only with a 1 inch body lift, I could go higher with the upper cross member. And I'd go about an inch lower than you're at on the lower mounts.

 

Ya... It's easy to make things look good on paper lol.

It may be the angle of the photo. But it looks like you've got about another inch before you actually go lower than the axle. And depending how you plate the leading edge of the lower mount, it wouldn't be a deal breaker to be 1/2 inch lower than the axle. Lower than axle isn't the best, but it's not necessarily going to kill anything.
