Yeah I'm not looking forward to it.

Gotta do my LCA bushings too which won't be fun. Also my carrier bearing but that's easy, probably gonna do that on Sunday. And need to replace my tie rods soon

Just realized the weekend after next is the 4th of July weekend, doesn't matter to me since the 4th is on Thursday and our plans are on then. But just wanted to make sure it still works for you. I can do Sat or Sun

LBJs shouldn't take more than a couple hours. Never messed with the abs sensors so I dunno about those.

You free this Sat to do the Big Bear run?

Just doing the easy trails to get up the mountain but @ItsRichieRich and I might hit up white mountain to get a little technical stuff in

Yaa we're feeling a bit lazy after these past 2 days. Probably do that another time. So the abs is weird, the brake pedal pushes back when coming to a final stop just below 5 mph at a signal or stop sign. It makes a groan, I push the pedal back, it goes away. Then the abs light only comes on when cruising above 60 randomly for a second. Thinking bad or dirty sensor, although those are expensive

If I catch one of you guys on the highway, I'm getting behind ya and following.

The plan is to stop on 3rd Ave and Main St for fuel at the shell gas station and stock up water, tea and some beers.

I'm in for this tomorrow. The 3N14 to Big Bear one. I'm wanting to try out my ipad and Gaia setup I just put in.
Is there a meet spot yet?

I think we are meeting at the start of Coxey Road in Hesperia. I think we changed plans to go up Coxey to the 3N16. If you're coming from San Diego, let me know if you want to meet up and head out together. I am in Escondido.

It was actually a good trip. Just extremely hot.

Bunch of kids out in their dad's Jeep and the 4x wouldn't engage so he couldn't make it up the hill.

I'd have to be swimming in money to be OK with letting my (presumably teenage) kids take my truck out in the middle of the night to an OHV park to mess around with...that just sounds like a disaster waiting to happen lol

really? I got my outer tie rods off no problem with a pitman puller when I did my LBJs. They popped off way easy, easier than my LBJs did that's for sure.

Were the inner ones harder? I haven't messed with those, but I think I'm just going to start with the outers first. Unless it makes more sense to do them all at once, probably does.

Mine were on there good, So bad that the puller was mushrooming the top of the bolt. Probably because they were original with the truck. I might be experiencing the same thing when i do my LBJ this weekend.

Holy crap, that's crazy. Mine are original too but were nothing like that. Just a few turns with the socket wrench on the pitman puller and POP they come right off.

I did spray mine down with some WD40 Specialist Rust Penetrant spray (similar to PB Blaster I think)...they weren't rusty but I heard that if you let them soak in that for awhile they come off easier. Might want to give that a try next time.

Is the group run on Sat open to Tacomas only?
