Costco life! Then again we might be biased since Costco is one of our local companies. I used Costco's vendor to install my central AC and I got a fat cash rebate back too. The only time they've ever did me wrong is by selling some no-name LED light bulbs that all died out within a month or so. But no problems and returning it for a full refund. They'll have my business for life.

I’ve owned my Tacoma for 2-1/2 months and started filling up with 92 two weeks ago.

I find that yes, the higher grade gas noticeably reduces much of this engine’s rough vibrations, harsh noises and lethargic responses. I’m hoping that it will also improve my MPG, however slightly that may be.

Mine is an automatic though. Better gas doesn’t cure that.

Since OBDII, with on board computers, knock sensors, throttle position sensors, drive by wire, exhaust gas sensors etc. using a higher octane of gas than what the vehicle was programmed and designed for is a waste of money. Everybody spends their money differently...so if you want to spend money on a higher octane...so be it !

    Hahaha!

I have no experience with them out of our area, but yeah, the price of membership is paid back a couple times over, at least.

We used their auto program once and it was effortless, while getting a great price with no bickering. We also used their homebuying program, got a killer realtor and big check at the end.

We bought a lot of CFL and LED bulbs there. The CFLs were iffy, but it seemed like they all were. We haven't had a problem with any of the LEDs and their prices are the lowest that I could find. Those LED shop lights for $25 are just fucking awesome. The wattage is a bit high compared to the 24in fluorescents that they replaced, but the light output is quadruple. It's apples and oranges, but . . .

With a lot of things, I tend to be a fanboi early on and then it fades. With Costco, it is the opposite.

Just enjoy it, like you are. In the end, I've seen $100k stickers on new Big2.5 brodozers.

Pretty sure Washington (esp King Co) is trying to out-crazy CA these days.

At least we have nice pine trees and stuff to smell up north.

For sure. Those shop lights were on sale recently and I picked one up to replace the one in my laundry room...but I should have just stocked up on them since I have 3 sets in my garage that will eventually die. The color is nice and not a high 6k either. I've used their auto buying program with my wife's car, but I found that I was able to save a couple more hundred off by bargaining myself when it came to purchasing my car. But it's great for those who don't want to deal with multiple dealerships or salesmen. I never thought of using their home buying program; my wife used to work in the industry so she had an amazing real estate agent that we used but it did cost us a decent amount. Okay might have derailed the thread a little bit lol.

PLUS where else can you get an all-beef hot dog/soda for a 1.50?

LoL! Yup. They killed the Black Anus and Chevron near I-5 about 2yrs ago.

    neonsigns.jpg

They are just now leveling the trees north of Northgate in the RoW.

They literally moved the goalposts on UW section. It was supposed to reach U Village, but they changed the completion to say that they were on target with the station at Husky Stadium. Fucking criminal:
    https://mynorthwest.com/1431042/dori-st4-light-rail/?

I fall off the left side of the fence, but governance around here has zero balance.

I wish. It comes yearly. We got a $650 check last year and $830 right now. Year to year, we typically cover the difference between the Executive and Gold memberships and drive less than 24k/yr total. So, it is just a matter of using it. Of course, the 3% back on restaurants is a big kicker also.

That’s some good savings. It’s actually nicer to get a chunk later though imo.

    What’s membership? Like $40/year last I heard?

That is the damn truth. Just about monthly, there is discussion about some crazy-ass major tax. The Seattle Core congestion charge is the latest. The worst part, in the 50page "study" that was published, never once did they define the boundaries of the Core. Folks are thinking those will be another moving goalpost.

They are still there for that price and now have ones with variable intensity, motion detection, and timers. That is too gizmo for me, but . . .

Yeah. The color is just right.

The dogs are great also. But, that new double cheeseburger! :cookiemonster:

Uhhhh. This thread was derailed from the 1st Post.:rofl: Sorry, @Rujack !

What is the compression ratio ? Compression ratio determines which octane is required. ( disclaimer ) This can depend on how lean factory settings are . Some factory settings are so lean they break the laws of physics, and in that case if you ADD MORE FUEL you can get even better MPG's. crazy I know but I know of MC engines that this happens and I have personally installed fuel modules to more than 10 bikes that all gained horse power and got far better MPG's. The book calls for 91 + and the comp ratio is just 9.5 to 1 . There is more but you guys probably don't give a damn about Motorcycles that much .

It is $60/year for Gold and $120/yr for Executive. We always cover at least that extra $60 with the 2% back, and sometimes come close to the full $120. Of course, the card rebate buries that.

My old stomping grounds! My parent's house is about 5 minutes from there, near the jag dealership. We moved to Lynnwood in 1993 from Oregon and there used to be way more wooded/open land. Where Lowes is used to be a just a big meadow before they built the original hardware store (Eagle). I will say I don't think anyone misses that black angus though lol.
