Another reason to do it, look at the distribution of votes by precinct for ST3 (the RTA tax fucking without lube....)
    st3precincts.jpg

See that Deep Blue in Seattle, vs. the mostly red/orange/yellow for the outlying areas in King? Yeah, that's what rammed those taxes up our asses......

I feel really bad for Pierce, they really got run over by Seattle in that one .

Yep, the area I lived in next to Lake Young was I think 5% for it. We had zero reason to have it as we lived nowhere near a line.

I live near Lake Young. Cost me close to $500 to register my 2017 JKU. $372 for RTA.

I live in a red area
The only people in my area who voted for it own multiple rentals right by the upcoming fed way transit center

I was right next to Lake Youngs Elementary. I'd still be there but the wife didn't like the WA weather. Complete BS to me.

Yeah it's weird how far unincorporated king county extends to. Property tax is pretty high, but we have additional levies for our schools, parks, etc out here in MV so I'm okay with that. If I didn't have kids or wasn't planning on having kids I'd move further out. So far I'm pretty happy with this little town. It seems their city council actually listens to their people. Some lady was killed crossing 169 last year and there's been a lot of complaints to lower the speed limit within the city and they actually did something about it. Same with the traffic where petrovitsky/18/169 merge. Finally are widening it and seems like they'll be done with the construction this fall.

Then again, I've only lived here for a year so we'll see if I feel the same 10 years from now lol.

My old house was literally less than 400 feet from the lake youngs trail (where the RTA tax ended) and we got the shaft.

I get the reasoning behind the RTA tax, but it shouldn't extend so fucking far out to people like us who don't commute using i5 or even 405 just because we're in the same county.

Wow, I should have done the stainless brake lines a long time ago, pedal feel is SO much better now. Also, installing them was much easier than I had convinced myself it would be (the last time I swapped brake lines in a car it turned into a fiasco with a stripped out fitting and me having to fabricate and splice one of the rear brake lines).

Well lookie what I found. I wonder how much my boss wants for it. Needs some cleaning and a paint job, probably new lock and key.
