my experience is that when everything is OK they will freeze you out of the cab given how large the systems are

My wife's Accord is like that, it can be 110˚ outside and the AC in that thing blows so cold it will make you want to turn it warmer

speaking of cars and maintenance, her Accord is leaking oil in the driveway now lol. Yay

 

Im gunna install AC on the frame just to make @Wulf jealous lmao

 

Bit by bit, you order and do all that at once and you'll hate yourself haha. But I know the feeling. Just finished the Z, at least in the sense that it is driveable as a daily vehicle, and the cruiser meanwhile is going to need new suspension and steering components entirely. I need to do all four of the solenoids in its transmission. Gotta fix my rear locker still. Need a roof rack so I can carry my damn tent again. Tires (2 sets) and wheels (1 set) real soon too. Bumpers and sliders I'll get to eventually.

 

lol yeah I figure if I write it all down and do it one thing at a time (and cross them off the list) I'll start to feel better about it, rather than thinking of it as this one BIG job that needs to get done. None of it is super urgent really but I am going to start chipping away at it.

Some of it is stuff I will probably just let a shop do...well the AC is for one, I don't have that kind of expertise. Shocks will be sent to someone local. I'm debating doing the LCA bushings myself or not, I know they're doable but from all accounts I've read it's a bitch without a proper press. I dunno we'll see.

The rear axle thrust angle I started to attempt last week but I got held up on how to go about doing it...got the truck on jack stands, got smaller jack stands under the rear axle and figured I could just loosen all the u-bolts and try and get it aligned properly. But then I wasn't sure if that might cause other problems with the leaf springs if I loosened all the u-bolts...last thing I want is to have to take those off and reinstall. Gonna see if I can find a write up on it or something just to make sure I'm doing it right

I'm pretty sure it got out of whack when I installed my Expos last year, my stupid driveway is uneven and made it harder to get them on.

I'm glad I don't need an axle rebuild haha. Already did it once, no noises here. Got another 45k hopefully. But my steering is a bit, worn, haha.

Just be ready to fight with the axle a bit to get it aligned. Take before measurements with it on the jack stands to so you can make sure things changed before you put it back on the ground.

 

Nah, it's not a Jeep haha. It just has some free play and wanders easily on the highway.

 

I'm going to probably wait until I help a friend of mine do his brake lines on his driveway, since his driveway is flat and even like a driveway should be lol.

 

So your gunna install a angle kit right? Lol jk

 

When I lift it I'll definitely adjust the caster a bit. But I like my stock steering angle a lot. Turns much tighter than a 6lug taco, not sure about a 5lug
