What a beauty.... So timeless and classic. Even stock height and stuff, they're just beautiful

Oh, well then they're not skinnies. Skinnies are skinnies because of the width to height ratio

I met with some guy on Craigslist who wanted to buy some part I was selling, think it was like a $40 door handle. New 1st Gen owner. I met him in the Pick-n-Pull parking lot.

I convinced him to buy the Tundra brake setup I had in the back of the truck boxed up. I explicitly told him it would only work with some 16” wheels, but he had the stock 15’s.

I made like $150 profit off that deal. I only paid $50 for the calipers and the rotors I got in that very same junkyards.

Like I said, it excels with towing, hauling, and hard braking. You won’t notice it much driving around down.

Although I should say it’s hard to have a baseline since I’m used to it. You’d have to drive someone’s truck and see how it feels.

Any tie rod upgrades worth looking at? Or just go OEM? never really hear much talk about them on the forum, or maybe I'm just not looking at the right convos

I get to do it all over again on the other side. Great.

Is there a pint to upgraded tie rods? They aren’t doing much suspension wise like the ball joints do.

The shoes are so small and cute. Let me get a pic with the Tacoma axles.

Don't think so, quick Google search shows everything from cheap Moog replacements for $40 (entire kit) to higher end stuff in the $400 range lol.

I'll probably just get Napa ones then unless I find a strong case for OEM. Haven't looked at the OEM prices yet but I'm sure they're not agreeable like most OEM part prices

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

I wouldn't say the ProForged are any kind of upgrade over OEM. Just less expensive option that have been fine for around a year and a half.

My inners and outers were probably less than half of the OEM inner price.

Mine have some play and my steering has been wandering something bad lately, probably got a lot to do with the steering wheel slop that every Taco has without that tack weld mod, but I think the tie rods need to be replaced and that will help.
