I still don’t know how y’all break em. Both my taco and my fathers have never broke. And with his bad hip he is rough on them

When you’re getting into or out of the truck your body weight tends to brush on that plastic and breaks the tabs off.

 

Need some extra weight around your mid section.

 

Oh yeah I forgot Dan is a smaller person than most people who break them haha

 

Im not fat anymore so this may not be an issue for me.

But Im keeping my spare set of passenger plastics. Gonna stow them away for possible future use.

 

Don’t really have to be fat. If you’re a big or tall person you get the same issue.

 

My father is not a smaller person. Lol
Remember this thing was his before and the 02 is still drive. By him regularly

 

I haven’t had any issues

 

Same with the center console, mine has a permanent indentation in it in the shape of my elbow from getting into my truck

 

For real though, how do yall get in your trucks? I tend to hit the front kick panel with my work boot, but never the side of my seat.

 

Well now I have to go see

 

How do you get out? Sometimes your ass brushes on that plastic part.

 

I can just sit right down in the seat, no sliding

 

I bought mine like that. The center of it on the inside is cracked.

 

I pick my weight up like a somewhat fit human being. Sliding out is being lazy.

I sandwiched a piece of 16g sheetmetal on my lid. Keep it from breaking later on.

 

My plate will fix that. Use your old one again.
