@Uphillshunter You're probably familiar with mine already, but here are the direct links for ya...

    Rear Shock Relocation
[planning] [first install attempt] [correct installation]

    Note: I used
    • A 4-foot length of 1.75" diameter, 1/8" wall round tubing to which the upper mounts would be welded
    • Some 3/16" steel plate for gusseting the tubing to the frame of the truck
    • A pair of RuffStuff SBRKT-175 upper shock mounts
    • A pair of RuffStuff R1988-8 lower shock mounts
and here's the How-To that I wrote up when I was done. This is the right way to go about it
How-To: Toyota Tacoma Rear Shock Relocation - Determining Leaf Spring Cycle and Mount Positioning

So the July Mod Day is either the 13th or the 20th. Anyone who wants to do this, look at your calendars and let's try and nail it down, to a date, in the next couple days.

I'm thinking August 10th for the August Mod Day.

Definately familiar with your set up. And have read your write up a couple times. Looking at using the same upper and lower shock mounts you did and using this cross member set up.

    http://www.chassisunlimited.com/product/shockmounts/rear-shock-mounting-kit.html

I'll probably start collecting the parts over the next month or so, along with RuffStuff Chevy 63 kit and body lift.

Anyone know where I can pick up a ARB locker on the cheap? Looking around it seems like everyone wants $990.

I have a standard rivet tool. Those holes look pretty big so I'm not sure if the it will just float in there. I'm talking about the rivet in the hole btw. :anonymous:

Petition against the closure that you can sign.

Before July 5th email your comments to the commission at oceanodunesreview@coastal.ca.gov to tell them they need to protect your rights for camping and OHV use via the Coastal Act.

If you want to help fund Friends of Oceano Dunes, the non-profit group fighting against the closures (currently funding several lawsuits) you can donate directly to them VIA PayPal https://www.oceanodunes.org

Emails sent and petition signed. I can't believe we even have to do this. They over tax us, they're fighting to remove our rights and now they're closing our parks. It's not okay.

Can’t do July. But possibly August 10th. I have a rivet gun, BFH, and Matco impact if they are needed. Not much in the way of mods to be done on my rig. But would be nice to meet some other taco folks.

Edit: If anyone has some experience with onboard air, my look into a compressor for future ARB locker(s).
