I Pick up my right leg and step in, hop into the seat, swing in left leg. At no point do I hit the side of the seat getting in.
To get out, I just twist to the left and hop out.

My center console is definitely indented from resting elbows on it

The deed is done. My bank account hurts.

Anyone wanna place a bet on how soon someone is gonna be selling a set in the marketplace?

I use the grab handle and step up on my sliders with my foot, then try and plop right down on the seat with minimal sliding (my seat covers get all fucked up if I slide on them anyway). But occasionally it helps to rest your elbow on the console to kind of leverage yourself into the seat, I try not to but still catch myself doing it occasionally.

When my truck was stock height this was a non-issue, with the lift and even me being 5'11" it is though

Nope. I take care not to slide off the seat when I get out, not so much for the panels but because I've seen a lot of Tacoma seats that are split on the cushion from people doing that

Yup. Previous owner of my bucket did that. I attempted a sewing job before realizing I could just swap the cushion with a mint condition passenger cushion.IMG_20190622_124353675.jpg

Gotta learn how to use the lathe first. The BMW uses a snap type of shift rod, not a screw.

Or I can cut the BMW shift rod and weld it to a normal threaded rod.

No they don’t. Where’d you hear that? They’re snap locks.

But you dont exactly see brand new frames laying in junkyards for $300. The plastic pieces are there, its just no salvage yard wants to sell them separate from the seat.

I think the weight of the driver plays a big role in that too. I'm not a small guy at 175 but I'm not big either, but if I'm not mindful of it and careless then I could see that happening over time

This is a BMW shift rod.
