So I finally pulled the trigger on a fj case. Just found out that they are shipping just the case, no shifter or anything. I don't want to do twin sticks and just want to use the standard shifter.

So my question to all of you; does anyone still have their fj shifter and hardware laying around after switching to a twin stick setup they would be willing to sell? If so, please let me know how much/details.

    Thank you in advance.

I purchased mine directly from Rock Solid Toys. Came already modified with twin-sticks.

I’d say either procure from Toyota or go to a scrap-yard.

    Yep.
I ordered the boot and cover through Metro Toyota, received both parts last week. Not sure why Gunny couldn't snag them.

    588083-5300B0 - Cover sub-assembly in DK gray
    58280-35320 - Boot assembly

Have a link to the place you bought from? I would love to get one of the 6spd shifter boots like you (58280-35320)

Edit: think i found it, placed an order, we'll see if they cancel it like the last place did

Nicely done. I like how the knobs match.

Anyone else having an issue with the new RST sticks leaking at the O-rings?

I seem to have terrible luck with leaky shifters.

The 2WD / 4WD stick feels a little loose in the housing. Wyatt is sending replacement parts, but I’m seriously considering selling this T-case and just going with a J shift one.

Or just saying F it and do a 4 speed ATLAS...

Anyone know which direction this goes on? I got a tcase for basically free but it came in a cardboard box already disassembled. I checked schematics on an fj page I found and couldn’t figure it out. D05109A1-FA4C-47D5-A2CA-0C949B9024CD.jpg

That looks like the speedo-ring gear to me. That belongs on the back side of the case. Some cases have them and others don’t but it can be installed on all cases whether they had it from the factory or not. There should also be a little ball and a shim that goes with that.

If you look at the pic you posed, you’ll see a little hole in the side of the output shaft. That is where the little ball should reside. The little ball resides in a slot on the speedo gear.

FJ cases are manual shift. Taco cases have an electric actuator motor to shift.

I know, the wrecker said it doesn't have the motor with it, which confused me because I have never heard of it.
