What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Because most manufacturers say you should change the engine oil annually if you don't reach the required mileage

 

it was a joke!!, i think @1997tacomav6 might change his oil once a month!
(he has the mega miles if you were not aware)

 

had to change out the rear right shock/strut. Don't know how the bottom part uscrewed itself....

Timmah's videos are overall pretty good for referencing real visuals of how things are attached/connected/etc - better than the service manual and part diagrams.... but his process in the PS flush video is trash. Spraying/spashing everywhere... running the pump dry ...

I had NO issues flushing this way - all I did was jack up the front wheels and with the engine off turned from lock to lock to fully flush out all of the old fluid. I only went through 1 new quart of PS fluid.

Damn I didn't know that was going on, would've voted.

 

I actually do get my oil changed every 4 to 6 weeks depending as I put 30-35k a year on the truck.
