Oh extra rules, ya hear that people if you've done anything in the heat, the generous Utah department of thoughts is letting you complain again.

Our building lost AC last summer in the middle of a socal heat wave, that shit sucked. Lasted almost 2 weeks until they finally fixed it

but yeah I can't complain, usually when it's hot as balls out I get to hide indoors.

 

Mine definitely has it yeah...with the truck at a stop I can move the wheel a few degrees in either direction easily without it having any effect on the tires

 

What do you guys set your AC to when you have a heatwave anyway? I have it set to 75 or so because trying to get there is futile and any lower is insane.

I keep ours at 77 no matter what. If it's really hot out, then it'll stay on at 77 because it's gotta keep working to maintain that temp. If it's only say 85 or 90 out, then it'll cool to 77 which is perfect and come back on if it gets warmer

I've had to explain that to roommates in the past so many times how central air thermostats work, because they'd be like "its so hot outside lets set the AC to 60 degrees or else we'll die!!" and then the electric bill would be through the roof

 

Yours probably feels more drastic too since AC removes the humidity. We have no humidity to remove, it's just hot haha

 

sometimes I do 78 but I've found in our current house, some rooms still feel too hot when the thermostat is at 78˚

 

Yes. It feels icy cool after coming in from a hot day outside.

 

Mine has bad regulation too, set it to 75 and the mean is around 80. 80 I can still function and sleep. Plus it is doable for the AC unit in summer heat of 110 and 115

AC units in the valley catch fire at this time of year around that temperature unfortunately. In the winter (in Eastern WA) I liked it around 65-68 and summer somewhere below 80 was acceptable

Yeah they've got the ideal population density too, roughly 36mil people less really solves the issue

California has 39.56mil citizens. Nevada has like a little over 3mil

 

NV, I bet power is real cheap, water maybe not so much
