Thanks a lot! I know what you mean about maintenance. I’d rather do too much than not enough. I’ve read on tw and some supplier sites that if your wheels have a 4.5 or 4.75” offset you won’t experience any rubbing with 285’s. Have you found that to be true? I went the opposite way, 3/4 ton domestics to Tacoma. Hell of alot easier to park downtown. I don’t miss them. Come to love these little trucks

This is my brother's truck but with the 4" bs'ing SCS wheels he still had to do a little trimming. He didn't do a cab mount chop.

Yeah sorry for pickin at you for info on something that is not even yours. Appreciate your patience. A little trimming I could handle, the cmc I would have to hire out. Just dreaming for now, truck is awesome as is. Maybe some day. Actually I contacted you and your gang because after observing y’all here on tw you seem to have a wealth of knowledge and experience with Toyota vehicles. I also felt that I might not be bs’d as much. Plus you are close enough to hunt you down if you did. SoCal is a little too far away! Thanks

Found out what my noise in the front end is. Nearly vomitted when I saw it.

Anybody remember when i did this?

In the rain one day, mid slide, i clipped a guard rail with the front driver’s side corner.

Never thought to examine closer underneath:

    Definitely.
Curl up in a ball and fucking die.
Got a Hobart in the garage. I’m already prying myseld away from it, thinking about how quickly i can fux it up.

    But thanks Tony <3
    :boom:

If I could find a wrecked indigo ink pearl truck, i’d try to cut it out or cut off a section of it and scab it in then hit it with some duplicolor spray can shite.

Otherwise. I could buy a whole new rad support for less than $100 and pay a shop to put in and paint it.

Probably best to pay a good shop to take care of it, seeing as that's a pretty critical part. I'd also take a look at reinforcing the area under the battery that gets stress fractures in it.

But it do not want paint work done on my truck without the whole truck being painted.

Overspray and cut corners by bodyshops make me unbelievably mad.

So thats a big deal to me. I’d almost rather weld it myself and rattle can it, than have my truck be down for a week(s) to be ripped appart and shittily stabbed back together. I guess i have to learn how to do welding, paint, and body work now because I can pretty much do every fucking thing else :anonymous:

Step one is to buy another vehicle. That is for certain.

Then i will make a plan of attack and formulate what i want to do to fix it. I’ll likely weld it together myself to make it sound and hold up for a while. Then just monitor it to make sure it doesn’t come back.

When it (ultimately and more than likely) does come back, i’ll section in a portion or replace the whole rad support.
