Yeah, I was thinking I would grab 3 so that I could build one, help my buddy that was interested in smoking build one and have a 3rd for a spare that we can sell if we don't screw something up. Since we build airplanes for a living I would hope we have good enough mechanical aptitude to not screw it up, haha.

Damn, looks like that can be a major headache. I will have to see if I can find someone to blast them for a reasonable price otherwise it sounds like it's not worth the hassle.

Haha, my buddy mentioned that too. Maybe if we want 18 we can talk him down to $300?

If I can find someone to blast them for a reasonable price I think I will pull the trigger, I will for sure hit you up if I do.

We powder coat ours, so the blasting isn't an extra charge for what we're doing.

If you're going to need to pay for blasting out the liner and are ultimately painting it yourself (a viable option), then I'd just look for one without the liner in it. As cheap as you can find them without liners in them in the first place, I'd find it hard to believe it is worth paying just to have one sandblasted. I could be wrong, though.

I'll check your local Craigslist and see if I spot anything ;).

I had a Weber kettle for 4 years when I was stationed in Hawaii. Used it a few times a week and it’s only after spending so much time with you guys on this thread that I realized that I had no idea whatsoever what I was doing. I always just did a full chimney and dumped it in the middle of the grill and let it get up to whatever temperature, then hoped that I didn’t burn everything. Surprisingly it worked out more often than not. Kinda makes me wish I had another one to do it right, but I’ve got the Jumbo Joe for camping so that’ll have to do. Lately my Genesis has been doing most of the work because I’m nearly out of pellets, though.

I’d like to build one, but don’t have any tools capable of doing so. Nor do i have the knowledge. Might get a Stumps at some point.

I was feeling like some Italian so I got out the bison burger. I was seasoning it and my wife said "Why not put some of the cheese you just smoked inside them"?

    Good idea baby.

90 minutes later and pulled the meatballs out of the smoker. It's cooking time. The meatballs smelled so good, it was hard not to eat one.

saute the veggies first, then add the sauce and the meatballs last.

    and the money shot.
