Opinion: 91 octane is superior. Especially if you have an MT

OV has done some good with what he has provided, but, just like oil testing, it is only one small part of the bigger puzzle.

To hold one product on high leaves a lot of other cheaper and possibly better options on the table.

On another tangent, it is like folks that ride motorcycles and think a Power Commander gives the bike more power. That is false.

Toyota engines come detuned for longevity and reliability. There is so much potential performance in the engine, you sacrifice the 1,2,3,400,000 miles that these engines routinely get.

For maximum as is performance, yeah, NOS is unreliable and if used wrong blows engines and melts metal. The way the engine sits now, you can massage some more out of it, but, big gains only come with big money.

Tried Dawn and water with a tooth brush.....nada.

Was gonna try gun cleaner......might turn the bluish strap to go green though.

I thought it was Prius v. Tacoma. But what you said makes more sense.

Still the same as I have said, he is good others know more, there are a few on TW that do also.

I’m not 100% sure, but, I would think this engine is used in a race vehicle someplace.
If so, the OEM system is most assuredly not used.

Besides, dynojet dynos are the Kmart of testing. Inaccurate and the numbers can be cooked. A proper accurate dyno would be an eddy current or something similar.

OV has done a good thing, but what he has done is akin to an ecu reflash in a bike. It only improves on a system designed to pass smog and conserve the engine.

he is the only tuner that has increased power in an NA application, and he is also the only tuner to have a Supercharger and Turbo kit available for the 2GR-FKS.

I parked in a HC spot once in my life, about 30 years ago I was delivering pizza to the security guard at the community college on a Sunday night when nobody but security was there. They probably had about 40 HC spaces and a cop pulled up and made me put the pizza and drinks back in my car and move.

That means nothing. Just cause he is the first does not mean he is god.

Some one always has to be first to put something out. As demand goes up others will follow. It is a cost vs development issue.

He makes his money on the tuner car market which enables him and his team to dabble in less lucrative markets. The demand for a Tacoma that can outrun a Hellcat is not there, however, guys with IS series and GTR cars want just that and there are more of them than there are of us.

I’m trying to figure out are you mining for info or trying to defend something as gospel
Which I have not torn apart, just casting doubt/skepticism on.
This amount of skepticism is common in the small circle of performance builders and racing. It helps foster new development and trademarks/patents.
