So this exact alarm new in box was given to me when I bought the truck 6 years ago. Was just looking at the instructions on how to install. Glad I decided to search it first!

Update on how its been since you removed the alarm? I am about to remove this same setup on my TX 99 Tacoma. Its a deer lease truck only so no need for the stupid alarm system.

Going to be removing it soon.

Do you still have the removed alarm? I have the exact same one installed (same year too) and mine started to randomly unlock my doors. Would you be interested in selling the brain?

If I can find it. I may have thrown it away. I'll look this weekend. You can have it for free.

Mine worked just fine for the longest time, almost 10 years of ownership. Then I moved to Philly and would find my truck unlocked while it was parked on the street, so I had to disable it. Now I miss having keyless entry.

Left me stranded a couple of times. It had to go. Might have been part of the reason the previous owner traded off the truck. It was one bad gremlin.

I am a newby to this form but I have a 98 4R with a Gulf States alarm with a similar problem which I fixed. I posed it on Toyota Nation with this link:https://www.toyotanation.com/thread...larm-system-and-automatic-door-locks.1753315/

So wait... are these two different alarm systems?

Gulf States Toyota alarm system vs RS3200?

Or is this an RS3200 alarm system installed by Gulf States Toyota?

There are 3 if I remember correctly. A RS2000 , RS3000 and a RS3200. Most likely you have the 3200, depending what Gulf States Toyota Distributors had on hand when they installed it. I have the installation PDF for the 3200, but am unable to post it here.

    There’s some confusion here.

The “gulf states” alarm that is being talking about is the securikey or securikey+ system. This is not the same as the factory RS3200 or other similar systems.

The securikey is made by audiovox. See attached documentation from Toyota TIS
