I went in last week to get the truck serviced and they said it was a mandatory recall and I had no choice. So with a little arguing I had them install a new smaller pedal instead of cutting my old one in half. Took a few days to get used to it, but not a big deal.

Got it done over the weekend. Wasn't sure what they were gonna do to it, but they ended up cutting about an inch off it and kinda angling/bevelling the bottom edges. Can't notice a difference with my foot, just looks kinda half-ass....might replace it someday but I'm not too worried about it at the moment

If they want they can replace it with a new one, but not do that red neck fix..

They ain't gonna whittle on my pedal. I'm with RJA, give me a new smaller pedal instead. I've seen them after they cut them. They look like someone hacked the bottom off with a pocket knife.

I don't really care if they cut it but I'm not rushing down there to get it done either.

Get it done. You won't notice it. So many people talk about this like they are getting their d*%k shortened.

Noticed nothing. They did a nice clean cut. All I really wanted was the firmware upgrades.
