I don’t blame you. I got into my state job just after they changed the years. It used to be 20. So I have some 19 to go lol, I’m stuck here. Damn that is awesome! I bet the riding is great! Where were you from Jersey?

Bergen/Hudson county. From what I understand, it was a lot different to what it’s become now. I can only imagine what it must be like. I feel for you bro. My mom and sister still live there. Everybody else GTF out.

Edited to add I don’t know why this freaking meme keeps popping up.

Some people down the street have a super clean dark green 1st Gen and some other car. So they bought a new Ranger. It looks like they are keeping the 1st gen for hunting and going out in the country where they don't want to take the Ranger.

I think it's perfectly fine to keep your Taco and have a new Ranger for when you need a Town Car.

My fiance has a 2013 ford focus that has been completely unreliable. It has broken down at least 5 times and only has 70,000 miles. Ford customer service is terrible, and so are their mechanics. Obviously that differs between dealerships. I personally won't be buying any more Fords in the near future based on my experience.

I hear yah, I’m sure you saw my sig, I’m from ocean county. The cost of living in this state is insane. Half of my family moved to DE like 10 years ago. And don’t get me started about our past governors :annoyed:.

The mid size truck game will be upped soon with the 4th generation Tacoma and Ranger hitting the streets in the next 2-3 years. They will both be a clean sheet of paper design. Hopefully Toyota will be addressing all of the shortcomings of the current 3rd generation Tacoma, basically a refreshed 2nd generation Tacoma that debuted in 2005.5, and hit the ball out of the park.

I think you’re a little short on the timeline for both. No Tacoma has ever been a clean sheet of paper, other than maybe the 1st Gen.

Remember that the current Tacoma’s “shell” (BIW - Body In White) hasn’t changed since 2005.5. Toyota has milked this platform for WAY too long.

Somebody here "gets it" Couldn't agree with you more. I had four Tacomas and the 2016 soured me on the Tacoma. Looking forward to the redesign in 2024 of both trucks. I would buy another Tacoma IF it's the best truck at that time. Right now, for me, and a handful of others, Ranger is the best truck at the moment

I don't pay attention to "looks" I am a function over form kinda guy. I do like the Tacoma styling except for the high front hood. I have an 08 Vette for "looks" LOL

You can encourage them to leave all you want. But like that creepy stalking dude that dumps the "flawed" girl for a greener girl, they hang outside the bedroom window of the ex and shouts above her new boyfriend's banshee, "Wait until the morning, when she slurps her coffee like a pig!".

    Yeah, creepy.

One reason is no 6’ bed four door configuration.

Is it the Rangers fault there is always at any given time a 30 page deep thread on it on TW... competition will breed better trucks across the lineup of all manufacturers. I have a feeling the next Ranger will share a lot of styling and performance with the forthcoming new Bronco that’s when the game changes. In the meantime I’d be hard pressed to buy the Ranger over the Tacoma but I probably would just to enjoy the red light meetings with Tacoma drivers :burnrubber:
