    I recommend removing the tailgate to do it, it will increase your chances of success

    Also, before ordering this, I would recommend trying to loosen the bolt. Would have saved me.

    My impact drill couldn't budge the bolt. I'm going to try the loosener stuff. Hopefully that will be enough before drilling out that dang bolt.

    I Can't Use An (Electric / Air) Impact Drill On Torx Screws - Too Much Torque For Me To Hold In The Screw - Always "Walks Out" And Usually Strips It. I Use A Hand Held "Hammer" Impact - It Does Not Come Out Of The Screw When Twisting.
    (I Will Be Doing All Of The Above On Sunday) & Always Need Good Luck!:fingerscrossed:

    On mine, I started out with a High quality L handle Torx and it broke when I used a “Snipe” (Leverage bar) on it. Then I removed the TG
    and used a hammer impact and broke the second one. Now I’m really Fk’d because I can’t get the broken piece out of the bolt head.
    so be careful with that hammer impact! If/when I try again I’m removing the plastic TG skin and using a heat gun on the bolt.

    I Don't See Any Thread Lock (Red Or Blue) In The Pictures Here
    But I'm Gonna Heat It With A Soldiering Gun - Just In Case
    Hold It On The Screw Head For 1 To 2 Minutes - Then :muscleflexing:

    On the back side of the screw are teeth that dig in and it makes it tough sometimes, I've removed over a dozen and some were tougher than others but it can be done

    Nice Lenny, congratulations, never thought removing an F’n tailgate bolt could cause so many problems, take so many tools and 1 Hour to do.
    Just shows that sometimes the simplest job can turn into a cluster F**k.
