I bought mine exactly two years ago and took out a five year loan. I've made a couple of extra payments along the way. Currently owe 17.5k. It should be paid off at the 4 year mark at the pace I'm going.

Nice that’s what I’m talking about.

I spend so much money on junk food that I’ve realized I can just make multiple extra payments in between payments. Lol

Paying early does help to stay on top of things....My due date is always the 18th with credit union. And I always pay full amount due around the 1st of the month. Through the NFCU App they make it easy. And in between another extra 100$ or so dollars. It adds up. No early payment fee.

Extra money, over time, part time hustling all adds up. Worked for me and I also did lift, tires, wheels, ECGS clamshell bushing, auto start, speakers, Clazzios leather and heated seats, OEM pro exhaust, OEM pro grill and Cai. I kicked it's ass on accessories and payments. She is all mine, worked my ass off and did it in 16 months!

I toss a bit extra on mine each month. I could pay it off in full now, but with a second human on the way I'd rather have the cash in the bank for emergencies. My rate was tiny, so I'm not stressing the extra few hundred I had to pay, my savings is now making more than my interest rate anyways.

Impressive. Nothing like commitment and dedication to get you where you want to be. For me, at 0.9% interest, I just let it ride and throw my free cash into investments.

I bought in December 2018 and took a 60 month note for comfort. I have about 5 payments left now. I hate debt and have been paying a lot more than the basic payment.

IMO right about now is a perfect time to be circling the wagons, as at some point we'll have a recession that will make 2008 look like a Chuckie Cheese birthday party in a bad area.

If paying extra each month or making extra payments, I would make a note to financial company insuring payment goes towards the principal and not the interest

Me too. Retirement present to myself but it’ll likely be the last truck I ever buy so it better last me.

I could comfortably pay off my truck right now if I wanted to, but I like giving Toyota Financial Services my hard earned money for no reason.

Seriously though, my interest rate is low and I am making extra payments.... plan to pay off early.

Smart man, and me too. Decided this time around to pay it off first before I do any mods that don't add value anyways, right now I'm doubling payments, should have it paid off in half the time (financed at 1.9% / 48 months). Hard to do being on this forum sometimes though.

Mine was 401k money. I needed a new truck that would last me as my Tundra was already coming up on ten years old. I figured I could make the payments on my severely curtailed income or just cry once, pay it outright and not have any payments at all so that’s what I did.
