I have seen that brand recommended a number of times. Couldn’t remember it. Lots of good feedback from Tacoma users with it.

^^^best set up. We have 2 kids for now and will get the back looking like this when third one arrives. Diono is a heavy sucker but super narrow.

I have a bcsb, it works for my little boys. We have BOBs, Mclarens, etc. they all fold up and fit under the tonneau easy. The back seat is tight but works. My wife got a good seat cover that attaches to the front head rests creating a nice cargo space and preventing crumbs and spills in difficult to reach areas.

I’ll try to get pics up later.

Biggest drawback is forfeiting the under seat storage with baby seats.

Typically a family wants 2 family cars. Not one family car and one bro cred truck.

The inclusivity of everything and everyone is why we can’t have real things anymore. For example. If a person weighs 310 lbs adipose tissue, that person shouldn’t be playing competitive amateur soccer. Unless that persons weight and athletic situation changes, no
Dice. When that person gets his or her foot in that door, it ruins the experience for everyone on the field.

Same with tacomas. The second every ex bro wanted to desperately hang on to their glory days and look like they were still adventure-ready, yet wanted 4 doors and baby tie downs and a family oriented vehicle, they ruined the off road utility vehicle.

No hate. TONS of great peeps have family tacomas. But it’s watered down what the truck could be.

I don’t mean to offend, but that’s how I feel about tacomas as family vehicles.

Wtf are you babbling about. It’s a truck, it’s not a status symbol or bro truck. I own a truck because I am carpenter and I ride dirt bikes. I’m sorry you feel your Tacoma is less cool because some of use them as a family vehicle.

I’m not sure if you realize this but people wheeling and modding Tacoma’s is tiny fraction of all Tacoma’s. Toyota has done a great job of making good for most people and still a very capable off-road truck.

Do these one Diono ones have clip-in bases (for swapping between vehicles or into a stroller) or is the whole seat in the truck once it’s in the truck

Where are you buying your strollers? I don't have $1,000 into everything stroller/car seat related for my nearly 2 year old small human including an infant carrier, two bases and two convertible car seats. I won't break the thousand dollar mark until I buy the second double sit/stand stroller for small human number 2. The Chicco Keyfit 30 can be had with the Bravo stroller for under $350 excluding tax.

I don't do long road trips, but I've yet to be in a situation that my Tacoma couldn't handle that my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee does. If I had two rear facing seats at the same time, that would be a struggle, but it would be no different than in the Jeep simply due to the size. I've got a Graco 4Ever Extend2Fit as a convertible right now that will go front facing when new baby is born behind me, the Keyfit 30 behind the passenger seat and will by buying another pair of the Gracos when the time comes.

Buying another vehicle is the furthest thing from my mind.

They're the whole seat, not swappable. I'm one of the few who didn't care for that seat and actually returned it.

Leg room for days.... I mean seconds.

You know how tired I got of my kids kicking the back of my seat because that had no room to move around?

Go buy a carseat. You'll need it later anyhow. Take that carseat and put it in a Tacoma. Then a Tundra. Buy a lifesize baby doll. Practice putting it in and taking it out (the doll, not ...). Anyhow. You want a full size vehicle. The headroom to lean in over the carseat as you take the kid in/out of the seat is paramount. That means you need wide doors and a tall vehicle.

I'm 5'6" and I can't stand hitting my head while pulling a baby out.

Also, don't buy the smallest carseat to make it fit. Read all the carseat TESTS. Your child's life depends on it. Get the BEST carseat. Then buy the vehicle that fits that seat.

How do you bump your head? Do you climb inside to buckle them in. I’m 6’ and never had issues bumping my head. Just lean in and place them in the seat.

I have not seen anyone suggest any cheap car seats. I said it already but I used the Chicco seats which are the highest rated and they fit fine.

Good suggestion to buy the seat and bring it with to test fit.

For the baby we use the keyfit 30 (has a base that clicks on) but then you need a bigger seat when they turn 2-3 depending on how quickly they get to 30 lb. For the older child I use Diono. I don’t find it that hard to remove, but then that’s just me. I carried that sucker all over creation on our last trip to Europe and haven’t changed my mind about it. If you want a narrow seat, this is the best way to go.
