Hello everyone so I recently got a Tacoma and I’m still new to the truck world. I could use some help when it comes to lifting it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The only advice I have is buy once, cry once. Get the right lift the first time, not the third time. Know what you plan on doing to your truck so you can get the appropriate lift.

It depends on what you want to do with it.
It’s a 4x4, so I recommend keeping the lift at 2” or under. Spacers lifts can cause trouble, but the toytec 1/2” top hat spacer gives you a 1” lift up front, keeping all your drive angles and travel in the sweet spot. If you plan on heavy duty and sustained suspension cycling, I recommend fox 2.5 with resi’s adjusted at that 2” mark or lower.

That’s the simple, Low-impact-to your-truck version. There are more extreme options.

Check out the suspension forum and research. Lots of research.

I recommend an AAL or pack in the rear and coil overs up front.

You may or may not need UCA but if you do you probably don’t need uniballs and you don’t need to waste a ton of money on them, recommend SPC Light Racing UCA.

Lifting opens a can of worms as well, you may need shims, or a CB drop, or maybe you don’t.

You’ll likely need to replace the driver needle bearing with the ECGS bushing.

Lift doesn’t mean larger tires either as those typically require some trimming, a CMC and finding the correct alignment and wheel offset.

    Good luck!

I recommend reaching out to Headstrong Off-road. They helped me get the specs lined out for my lift and I have had zero issues.
