Given a choice, would you go high clearance or regular rear bumper?

 

I will be going with a true high clearance that moves the receiver behind the plate as well.

Depends on you and your needs/wants of the truck
I agree about the high clearance of it’s more off off-roading and what not. Me personally I’d go with the regular with the hitch under the bumper because I tow with my truck and I don’t like the idea of flipping the plate

 

I've got a spare OEM bumper and some plastics if anyone needs them, ill be throwing them out probably once my rear is back together

I'm having some trouble with the trailer plug, I'm thinking of replacing the plug but I’d have to splice a new harness to the old harness

 

that's right its great Toyota finally got the tranny issue fixed truck runs mint.

I was never a fan of the tube look.

 

That's what I ended up doing. I was able to keep the harness and snip the wires at the plug end.
I bought a Hopkins plug off Amazon and drilled a hole in the bumper next to the plate. Added pin connectors to the ends of the wires and it fit snug over the pins on the plug.
